I was having a conversation with a client today and it hit me that a lot of the times we overthink what to post on social media!

At the end of the day what matters on this app is connection! People want to feel seen and feel loved! They want to know that they can relate to you and be helped. No matter how your business does that, you can always circle your content back to those two things! Helping people feel seen and loved!

I hope this helps someone who needs the reminder that your sales content isn’t “salesy” at all if you are posting with the intent to help people & make this world a better place.

My thoughts below! ↓

If your “instagram strategy” doesn’t look like posting every day, or even if it looks like not posting at all for your mental health-that’s A OKAY! 👌

All that TRULY matters when it comes to a social media strategy is that:
•You have a strategy that works for you & your business
• You are happy and it feels good!

I truly don’t believe there is a one size fits all approach for how you should show up on social media for your business! It’s a lot of trial and error to help learn what works best for YOU! & only you (& God) can really decide what works for you! Are there certain tactics and sales strategies you can implement and learn that will help-of course! That’s where I love to help out!

Your content shouldn’t feel like a stick figure drawing you plop up in 30 seconds, or a painting you stare at for 2 weeks straight without touching because you hate working on it… If that’s what it feels like then you are doing it wrong!

Here are some common things I see that will make you feel like you HATE posting on instagram!

1) Putting high expectations on themselves to post every single day! You don’t need to do this to be successful, you can do what works for you!

2) Not hiring out help sooner! If you truly cannot handle editing reels then why are you still forcing yourself to do them?

3) Not putting any thought into your brand or messaging. When the visuals and the words are just not you, it’s not going to be very effective for you or your audience! Try sticking to only content that is authentic to YOUR brand!

Guess what?!! you are SUPPOSED TO FEEL JOY & excitement when it comes to your business! If you aren’t, then you are doing it wrong! Or if you love what you do but feel TOO OVERWHELMED….then it’s time to consider getting some help because it might just be the best choice you ever make!

So hire that help! 😏 You know I am here for help if you need it with social media, but beyond that hire that Nanny! Or the house cleaner, or that massage you need to finally get the knot out of your back so you can sleep at night… Whatever it is you need, do it because you don’t need to do this business journey alone! 🫶🏼

You wouldn’t wear your tennis shoes to a swimming pool…and you wouldn’t wear your sandals in the snow! 😱

Or maybe you would…but it definitely wouldn’t serve you in the best way possible! Different shoe types serve different purposes! Me & my Nikes 🤝 Daily walks!

The same goes for Social Media Platforms. Each platform serves a different purpose based on your business and your specific goals!

Example: if you are wanting to run a flash sale, you wouldn’t post about it on Pinterest or TikTok…you would probably want to post about it in IG and Facebook!

Comment a goal you have on social media and I will let you know which platform(s) will be most helpful to help you get towards your goal!!

I freaking LOVE Social media. I know it can get a bad rap at times, but like anything in life, you can choose to use it for good or bad.
I believe that God has given us each divine gifts that are meant to impact others lives! & I believe that social media is a tool that God has given us to help us do just that!
Within a matter of seconds you can connect yourself with people around the world who need to hear what
YOU HAVE TO SAY! You have the power to change lives, and your business has the power to bless others!

1. Instead of just listing what you sell, try sharing what results your product or service will help them receive! Think deeper about what it is your ideal customers really want from you or your products!

2. Be as specific as possible about who you are trying to sell to! Example: Instead of saying you “clothing for moms” try being more specific about what kind of moms your clothes are for! Example: Athletic wear for modern mamas!

3. Show off your skills and build your authority! Share your wins, accomplishments, or just simply make sure that you are clearly set up as a “one of a kind” business owner! 🤩

What went on in September? 😏✨

Besides trying to figure out how to run my business AND be a mom let me tell you with photos! 🤪

✨We got our first family photos done (as a family of four!)
✨Beckham turned one month old and continues to become more smiley and attentive each day! He’s a charmer!
✨Lots of walks, naps, and cuddles!
✨I found a new obsession with Salted Carmel Italian ice and salted caramel everything
✨ Lots of changes at church this month
✨Celebrated turning twenty-five!! 🤩

OH YEAH! & met with the best clients ever!! So grateful for what I get to do every day!

Being able to ask the right questions to your audience is a key aspect most people are missing in their content!

The goal: Help both YOU & your ideal client dig deep to understand exactly what it is that they want and how you are going to provide the easiest solution to help them get there! This works for both product and service based businesses! 😏💡👀

Did you know that INSTAGRAM actually has the ability to tell if your content is original to you or not…. 🤯

Here is why it matters to YOU & how you can use creating original content to your advantage! ↓

1. Chances are you have seen a form or two of “lazy girl marketing” floating around where you simply use B-roll footage or other free content from the internet for your reels or posts… The problem with this is that everyone else in your niche/industry ALSO have access to these same photos and videos…so you are NOT going to stand out & Instagram is going to be able to recognize it (which leads to less views and interactions and less traction)

2. The same goes for copying content from others…I NEVER recommend taking someone else’s idea or content and rebranding it to be your own. It’s just not fair to the original creator OR you!!! You have a unique perspective and brand that should always shine through and be original to you!! That is the type of content that will perform best. Now can you use other posts as a spring board for inspiration? SURE! But make sure to make it as original to you as possible for the best results!

3. Adam Mosseri (Head of Instagram) recently just mentioned how the algorithm is now built to prioritize original content created by small creators!

This means that the more original your content is to YOU & your brand 👉🏻 the better it should perform!!

Obviously there are a lot of factors at play with this, but ultimately the good news is that now the algorithm is going to be better at prioritizing content that is original to you and your unique brand! 🤩👏🏼

The truth is: Taylor Swift is the most iconic entrepreneur I know! The fact she has her fans in a literal chokehold, counting down the days until her next album launch is absolutely incredible….

Her album launch is already going to make millions and all she had to do was announce to the world what day it will be launching!

THIS. THIS is the kind of marketing I want for my business & YOUR business.

Because if Taylor Swift can do it, so can you, and so can I. Taylor has constantly reinvented herself throughout the years. She has built a brand for herself that sells out before people even know what she is going to offer her next. She has spent countless hours building a brand around herself and her music that everyone recognizes and values. & you can do that too!
