Hello, and welcome to Planetary Paranormal! This is a new comic series that will be starting with our first short story this summer, 'Fury of the Storm'. Planetary Paranormal is sure to be exciting for anyone who reads it!
Here's a "brief" introduction to the world of Planetary Paranormal:
It is a world much like ours where many events happened and unfolded similarly. However, the big difference is that monsters roam this Earth, and magic flows through it.
The greatest source of this magic, the World Tree, was torn down by the ancient Romans in modern-day Tunisia, when they destroyed and rebuilt Carthage. This act sent all creatures with a connection to magic into hiding.
About 1500 years later, the monsters and magical creatures were nearly a forgotten memory to the world. But that all changed when England, France, Spain, and other empires started expanding. As they foraged into the Americas, they battled the Natives for possession of their lands.
At the same time, an old and powerful sorcerer known as the Buckeye Wizard had been living in the Great Lakes region for an unknown period of time. He had built a home and discovered that the greatest sources of magic pass from the death of one conduit to the birth of another. He took it upon himself to find the new conduits as they were born, bring them to his home, and train them in the ways of magic.
Unbeknownst to the settlers and explorers, Native Americans had been living in harmony with ancient, forgotten beasts for longer than any human on Earth was alive. Now, as war started happening regularly, the monsters started to return from hiding. They are not happy about being attacked once again by man.
It is up to the Buckeye Wizard and his student conduits to stand up and help restore peace between mystical beasts and mankind.
