I can tell you for sure that I wouldn't be here without my amazing community of other entrepreneurs supporting me and lifting me up.

Owning a business is not for the faint of heart. There are so many struggles, and times I’ve felt like throwing in the towel and giving up, but I’m still here.

I hope that you have that community too. People, you can bounce ideas off of, ask questions, or someone to call when you need to vent.

Everyone talks about how amazing it is to “work for yourself” but not as many people talk about how lonely it can be, how you can feel like you’re always on, or that you can feel like a failure, even if your business is doing well.

Not to mention pivoting a successful business that works to offering completely different services that align more with the bigger picture, and being questioned every step of the way.

Sometimes failure is just part of the process… let me tell you about the time I delivered the worst workshop ever…

It felt off almost immediately. I was trying a different format and realized within the first few minutes that it wasn’t my style.

I actually almost stopped the workshop halfway through, but I resisted and kept going. After it was over, instead of hiding my head in the sand and going back to the old format, I actually asked for feedback from the participants, and a few weeks later delivered a workshop that went much better!

The whole reason for creating a workshop is to help others, but sometimes that also means trying new things and failing.

It’s learning from the failures that makes us stronger.

I know how hard it can be to take time for yourself as a business owner. It feels like any moment not spent building your business is wasted, but trust me when I say that self care is super important.

I want you to go through your calendar right now and block off time for self care! It could be a walk in nature, a day at the spa, grabbing a coffee at a local cafe, a hotel room alone (sounds dreamy right?!), or even just an hour to work on a hobby that has nothing to do with your business!

And got to thinking how each setting was simplistic, yet very unique. Allowing each couples personality shine through.

Subtle add of colour here, different fold on a napkin there changing the entire look. Just like your businesses brand.
