What an amazing 9 months it’s been of Loud Cities radio show quality broadcasting. So it’s an absolute privilege to hear music from 3 TONN releases featuring in Mike Dimitriou’s season finale, opening this epic show with music from No-Montreal’s superb ‘Wave Function’ cassette album, followed by one of my all time favourite remixes on TONN by 909distortion & AXGGAA for Prinzessin’s ‘The Security EP’ along with music from the beautiful ‘La somme de mes soifs’ 12” vinyl album from Violence. A huge thank you to Mike for including TONN Recordings artists and releases during this excellent season of Loud Cities radio show. The context he provides on everything he plays in his broadcasts does so much to shine a light on the music created in this scene. He has ended the season with an outstanding show and we love being part of it. With an unwavering passion for electronic music, I want to thank all of TONN Recordings artists for their incredible music and for their faith in the work we do together on the label. I’d like to also thank TONN’s designer, Ivan Antunovic who is the best possible person to collaborate with and whose beautiful Nieuw NDG design work continues to evolve the label’s aesthetic in wonderful ways. Thanks also to the photographers whose images grace our our covers, it’s a pleasure featuring your photography on the label. A very big thank you to my good friend Paul Marshall who has supported TONN for many years, for his beautiful merchandising photography. In the times we live in, for people to be able to get together in a room in name of music and art is a very rare and special thing. Last month Utgang were invited to take part in an amazing live event in collaboration with NANA by providing an bespoke electronic score for 30 dancers as they performed in a 6 hour marathon of contemporary dance and electronic music for Nana Jam #5 at the RING - scène périphérique.
