đŹAnnoying adviceđŹ
This might be controversial but I hate seeing âexpertsâ on socials encouraging small businesses to post a gazillion reels a day.
In the space of 5 mins - Iâve just seen about 4 accounts do this and hereâs why itâs so wrongâŚ
Itâs an UNHEALTHY expectation - small businesses donât have unlimited time to create this level of content and I think it sets an expectation that you should always be pushing yourself to the point of BURNOUT.
BETTER OPTION - You are in it for the long run so work out a posting schedule that is REALISTIC and SUSTAINABLE for your own business.

đHOLIDAY BRAIN BLANK? đ

đQuick Fix Ideasđ
â
Check out your content from a few months ago, pick something that was well received and is still relevant and repost it!
â
Back to basics - think about your audience - what would be helpful content for them?
â
Behind the scenes footage - grab some quick behind the scenes footage that gives added value to your audience - sneak peak of a product before launch, highlight your people - what are their favourite products/services.
Donât overthink it - just post it!

Is this YOU?
Showing your face on your business socials is really important to connect with your audience!
I understand and I feel your pain!
Here are my seven tips to boost your confidence when showing up on socials.
đ Start slowly! Start with pictures and text to begin with on posts/stories/reels. Once you feel okay with that, bring in video and thenâŚ.lives (if you want).
đ Practice Regularly â remember familiarity breeds confidence: spend time in front of the camera regularly to become more comfortable. Practice speaking as if youâre speaking to a friend. Over time, the camera will feel less like an intimidating object.
đ Know Your Material - being well-prepared with what you want to say or do on camera reduces anxiety. Outline your talking points or script your content if necessary. Knowing your material inside out allows you to focus on delivery rather than remembering what comes next.
đ Get over yourself! Concentrate on the message you want to convey and the value it provides to your audience. This shift in focus from how you appear to what youâre sharing can significantly reduce self-consciousness.
đ Film sentence to sentence â This makes it much easier and quicker to get through a bit of content but also allows you to remove any unnecessary gaps and involuntary
âermsâ that you might say!
đ Improve your technical skills and understand your equipment - knowing how to use your camera, microphone, and lighting effectively can boost your confidence. Experiment with different setups to find what works best for you.
đ Donât over analyse â just post it. If I had a ÂŁ1 for every time I swithered over content or didnât like my voice or facial expressions, I would be very rich! Sometimes itâs best not to re-watch too much, check the message is clear and then post!
Be patient with yourself and celebrate small victories along the way! Confidence in front of the camera will improve with time and practice.
