God knows and sees everything you’ve ever done, said or even thought…and yet, his love for you is immeasurable.

If you’re like me, sometimes I worry that the more someone gets to know me, the more disappointed they’ll be that behind the person I project on face value, is a guy with struggles, issues and imperfections. Am I the only one who worries about that?

How beautiful then, that the God who knows you intimately chooses to overlook all your inadequacies, in order to have a relationship with you because of Jesus sacrifice.

Instead of filling so much of your thought life unhealthily or excessively concerned with what others think (or may think) about you - remember that the creator of heaven and earth - the God of ALL things, sees EVERYTHING…and still loves you unendingly.

Today I want to celebrate the faith, resilience and strength of my girl. Many of you won’t know her story, but on this day 18 years ago she was playing in the park and totally out of the blue, felt the power drain from her legs, she sat down on a bench and never walked again. Whilst a freak virus turned the life of a 12 year old child upside down, it contributed to you becoming the incredible woman that I fell in love with. I love that you never allow your circumstances to define you, you point blank refuse to play the victim and, with a big year coming up, I’m so excited to think how God’s going to use you in our new adventure 🤩

Without going into her entire health history 😂, third degree leg burns, a broken leg and operations where she bled out entirely as a teenager... sepsis and a 7cm deep wound in her leg during a horrendous 2017/18 (all whilst being a first time Mum to a newborn), and then even this year just waiting and waiting and waiting for hospital appointments to deal with another abscess all during lockdowns with little ones (and also me 😂) I honestly do not know how you do it! 🤯👏🏼

Despite it all, in every situation, you’ve come out the other side. You’ve depended on God at every twist and turn, and He has demonstrated his faithfulness to us time and time again - never leaving us or letting us down. Jesus never promises following Him will be easy, but he does promise he will never leave us and that he is working all things for the good of those who love Him. We’re firsthand evidence of that. Evidence of God’s provision and love, and the joy it brings when you recognise the Author of life is bigger than the struggles of life.

Thank you God for my wonderful Jade. Thank you for your faithfulness.

“Always be joyful, pray continually, rejoice in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thes 5:16-18
