If you are building a brand that exudes a calm confidence blue might be a color you want to include in your palette. You’ll see blue used across a variety of industries, dark navy blue for example is common when brands want to convey professionalism while a bright vibrant blue can be seen as boundary-pushing and stand out in a more neutral palette. Being vulnerable and allowing people to see the real and the raw, both good and bad, is an essential and underrated practice for brand-builders in todays world.

The move can feel risky, but ultimately, the fears are overshadowed because the role that vulnerability plays in building trust and community far surpasses the risk. But the thing is you can’t perfect your way into authenticity and vulnerability, softening it and making it palpable.

Playing it safe leaves your brand void of personality and safe.. but, bland.

The fastest way to have your heart crushed is build a community and business on a platform that you have no control over. One day you are thriving and the next, it’s all gone.

There is something so exciting about new chapters. The world feels like your oyster.

Honestly, it’s bittersweet saying goodbye to a home that held so many fun memories. This was our first home (the one we owned). My business transitioned to fully brand and website design in that home. We got married in that home. We got our big white dog in that home. I had so many amazing calls with badass women in my office in that home. It’s bittersweet saying "see you later" and knowing that when we go back, we won’t be the same people we were when we left which is fun and sad.

But this new chapter feels like a fresh, blank canvas. A story of endless possibilities and adventures to come. Plus, being in a place with the sun doesn’t hurt ha. California Clair is already living her best life.

Anyways, the point of this point is just to hope to share a bit of the inspiration I've been feeling. I want to let you know that even if you aren’t moving across states, finding a way to shake things up might just be the spark that creates a new inspiration in what you are doing. Because I am going to level with you really quickly…I have been feeling off. Depressed. Stuck. And just not sure what to do to fix it. To be honest, it could be the fact that I lived in the PNW and it was winter. Or maybe it was something else.

So cheers to you and the oyster that is life (lol… what?!)! Cheers to me! Cheers to sunshine as I write this. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead because I know that it’s going to be GREAT!

Your creative direction is the visual representation of the foundation (AKA the strategy) and the way you want to visually communicate. By putting things into visuals you are able to align what the visuals will look like.

The creative direction is the guide for your brand. It is the concept behind your brand. Ultimately the creative direction should be a mixture between your style and your target audience's style and deliver the feeling that they want to feel!

Without a clear creative direction, your brand can easily lack consistency and focus!
