Divorce: We’re probing possible hacking of Olori Naomi’s Instagram page, says Ooni’s palace

The palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, says it is probing possible hacking of Olori Naomi’s Instragam page.

It denied knowledge of the report that the marriage between the monarch and his wife has ended.

Olori Naomi had announced through her social media handles on Thursday that her marriage to Ogunwusi has ended.

But in his first official reaction to the claim, the Director of Media and Strategy, Ooni’s palace, Moses Olafare, said as of Wednesday evening, Ogunwusi and Naomi went to bed as husband and wife.

According to him, separation in marriage cannot be done by one of the parties, stressing that probe will be launched into whether or not Instagram page of Naomi was hacked.

Olafare, during an interview with our correspondent, said, “Separation is a two-way affair, it is not something that is announced by one party. The announcement of separation is subject to agreement by both parties.

“The palace is not aware of such separation because we all went to bed last night (Wednesday) the two being the king and queen.

“So, if by this morning, the queen went to social media to write that she is no longer in marriage with Ooni, we will look into it to see whether or not the Instagram page truly belongs to her, and to know the reason behind it.

But as of today, this moment, the palace is not aware of the separation. Marriage is a private affair, no matter how prominent the personalities involved, it is a private affair.

“We will dig deeper and know what happened, but like I said, all of us just woke up to read about the separation on social media.

Even by this time yesterday, (Wednesday) kabiyesi was still packaging special gift for her.

“If you want to separate with someone, you cannot be packaging gift for her. I was aware that Kabiyesi was putting special Christmas gift together for her. If he is not in love with her, he cannot be doing that. In fact, the Christmas gift has been delivered to her already.”

IKOYI Club Suspends Africa’s Richest Woman Husband Modupe Alakija For Fighting.

Africa’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija’s husband, Modupe, is in the news. Unfortunately, not for the right reason.

The 72-year old father and grandfather is trending for allegedly fighting with a fellow member at the prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938. Thus, he’s been suspended for one year.

According to his suspension notice posted on the club’s notice board and signed by Bamidele Ibironke, the secretary: “The above named member of the Club is hereby placed on a one (1) year suspension from the Club for physically assaulting and abusing a fellow member, conduct injurious to the interest of the Club, thereby violating Rule S(C)of the Club’s Rule Book. This suspension takes effects from December 1st, 2021 to November 30th 2022.”

Alakija, with membership number A.518, is married to Sharon of Rose’s Folorunsho Alakija, a fashion designer turned major oil industry player and philanthropist. A lawyer by training, they got married in 1976 and are blessed with four sons – Folarin, Rotimi, Ladi and Dele.

Born on May 5, 1949, the silver-haired businessman and his wife run the multi billion Famfa Oil Ltd, among other companies.

As The Nigerian High Court Invalidates All Marriages

Interpreting a court case is always technical for street guys like me, and Nigerians courts are not helping matters. The invalidation of all marriages conducted by the Federal Marriage Registries and their agents by the court is something I can’t make a head or a tail of.

Does it mean that all divorce cases in the court should be wiped out? What about the people who have pending applications in federal registries? Will those that are married already seek a new registration?

It simply means that every man and woman in Nigeria that passed through the federal marriage registries are single. And since the court is the only responsible institution for divorce, a married woman or man in Nigeria can call his marriage a quit today without breaching any contract.

In Nigeria, everything goes. Whatever is pushed at us, we endure. We wake every day to a new law.

To the married, this is a trap. No leave your husband or wife for this funny judgment. The cost of items in the market has increased. To marry these days, na plenty money.

And if you take things seriously for this country, I will only say: Na waa 4 u
