HON. ABAGWU IBRAHIM RECEIVES CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION FROM UNITED STATE AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT.

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council Kogi State. Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim and his vice, Hon. Martha Moses earlier today Thursday, 1st April 2021 received certificate of participation from United State Agency For International Development (USAID) in collaboration with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) after a three days successful seminar on conflict management organized by Mercy Corps in Syngery with Kogi State Government.

The aim of the programme was to enlighten the Local Government Executive Chairmen and Vice Chairmen on conflict management which is key inline with Kogi State new direction Government policies to enhance peaceful coexistence amongst the people at the grassroot.

HON. ABAGWU IBRAHIM RECEIVES RELIEF DRUGS, FLAGS OFF DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL MEDICINES TO ALL PRIMARY HEALTH CENTER ACROSS THE 13 WARDS OF ANKPA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government council, Hon. Alhaji Abagwu Ibrahim today Thursday, February 4th 2021 flagged off Distribution of essential medicines aimed to be distributed across the primary health centers across Ankpa Local Government area.

During the flagged off ceremony held at the Local Government council Secetariat, The chairman expressed gratitude to God Almighty and the people for the confidence reposed on him to serve. He said the flagged off ceremony had become very necessary in a timely manner due to the importance of health in every society adding this as part of his Administration efforts is to ensure suitable, affordable and robust health care attention to the Citizens across the 13 wards in order to improve standard living for the Citizens.

He directed the HOD of health to ensure the staff of the council resume to their assign duties with immediate effect and ensure the drugs gets across to the primary health centers across the 13 wards of Ankpa Local Government area. He also noted that renovation works would commence as timely as possible on some of the primary health centers which are currently in a deplorable states.

The ensential medicines were presented by the supervisory Councillor on health, Hon. Nasiru Yahaya on behalf of the HOD for Health, and other members of health department were also in attendance.

HON. ABAGWU MEETS WITH STAKEHOLDERS OF ADANAWO DISTRICT, SET UP COMMITTE TO INSPECTS PROPOSED LAND FOR EXPANSION OF ANKPA LGA GENERAL CEMETERY.

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government council, Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim Yesterday 26th January 2021 met with Stakeholders of Eti- Afor - Ojogobi in Ankpa local Government area in his office set up committe to inspects Community proposed land for expansion of Ankpa township General Cemetery.

Alhaji A.A Sani who spoke on behalf of the district, stated that, the people of Eti- Afor Community in their last meeting unanimously agreed to lease part of the community land to the Government for expansion of the cemetery.

The people's Chairman in his remarks thanked the people for their cooperation, he stated that "on his assumption to office, Ankpa Islamic Community wrote to his office demanding Government intervention on the issue of lack of space to burry deceased persons, thereby appealing for support for expansion. He said since they was no available Government land suitable enough within his jurisdiction, he led the stakeholders of Ankpa Muslim community after a constructive agreement with the people of the community who unanimously agreed to lease out part of their land for the proposed cemetery last week to Abuja to discuss the issue with a prominet son of Ankpa soil Late. AGF. Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim SAN who he said assured of his Support to fund the bills before his unfortunate death.

He thereafter proactively constituted a Ten man committe chaired by the HOD of works, land and housing and two sons each from the four ruling clan of Adanawo District to inspect the land offered for lease to the Government by the people of Eti- Afor Ojogobi community in order to prove the authenticity of the land. The chairman urged the committee to take into consideration individual lands, adding that the government is willing to take responsibility for the plan of the new Cemetery for immediate use by the people.

Other Stakeholders of the community in their respective remarks, Commended the Executive Chairman for his exemplary Leadership style and assured of their unalloyed cooperation noting that indeed his approach is welcoming and deserve commendation. A minute silent was observed to honor the late legal icon and prayers were held to God to forgive his shortcomings and Grant his soul eternal rest.

Dr. Mohammed Sani Haruna Representaive of Ankpa Muslim community, Alhaji Isah Adejo the Vice Chairman Ankpa elders forum, Madaki Eti Afor, Adukaya Eti-Afor, Pastor and Imam of Eti-Afor, and Representaive from the Okeme, Sani, Wodi and Akoh ruling clan, youth leader of Eti-Afor amongst other critical stakeholders were in attendance.

HON. ABAGWU REHABILITATES ABANDONED EARTH MOVING MACHINES, POISED TO EMBARK ON RURAL ROADS GRADING ACROSS THE 13 WARDS OF ANKPA LGA COUNCIL.

Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim, The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government council, Kogi State as parts of his administration efforts to commence work on dilapidated rural roads in order to ease the suffering of the people across the 13 wards of Ankpa Local Government council has approved fund for total rehabilitation of the council earth moving machines.

According to the Executive Chairman, most rural roads in the area are in a deplorable state, saying that most commercial and private vehicles found it very difficult to ply, but in view of his administration efforts to upgrade the rural roads, vehicle movement would become faster and smoother and noted that if the earth moving machines are fixed properly that his administration would commence on grading of rural roads across the 13 wards of Ankpa Local Government area in order to enable farmers easily transport agricultural products to urban areas aims to boost the economy Revenue of the council.

He further stated that the people deserve standard living and poised to deliver effectively on his core mandate reposed on him by the people inline the Kogi State new Direction Government under the proactive leadership of his Excellency, Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

The Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters In charge of Ankpa Local Government, Hon Abagwu Ibrahim has Congratulated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, H.E Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja on their well deserved victory, hailed Today's Supreme Court Verdict on the November 2019 Gubernatorial election petitions against the ruling party, described the Judgement as true reflection of the will of the entire progressive minded kogites who en masses Voted the APC mandate in the last November Gubernatorial Election that APC won opposition parties with far margin.

Hon Abagwu Ibrahim in a press statement signed through his Media Aide shortly after the Supreme court judgement in Abuja, congratulated His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoja Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and his Deputy Chief Edward Onoja over the divine victory, said Indeed Judiciary has affirmed the will of the entire progressive minded Kogites for the overall benefits of the state.

He noted that with today's judgement Governor Bello will accomplishment his mission and vision for the entire regions of Kogi State as he poised to do more for the state and consolidates on his first term achievements to reposition the state for greater height.

He hailed the Judiciary for affirming the will of the entire progressive minded Kogites who en masses voted their preferred candidate during the polls, and called on well meaning Ankpa sons and daughters to jettison Party interest and accept defeat in the spirits of sportsmanship and join hands with the new direction government under the proactive leadership of His Excelleny, Alh Yahaya Bello in his quest to move the state forward.
