NBC4 and Tony Shin have parted ways. It appears he filed his last report, an officer-involved shooting in Riverside County, on January 11. Shin was tasked with covering Riverside and San Bernardino Counties for NBC4. He joined the station in 2013.

Former KTLA anchor/reporter Pedro Rivera has resurfaced in New York. He's been named the new co-anchor for the Eyewitness News weekend morning shows at ABC 7. Rivera interned for the WABC-TV Sports Department back in his college days as seen in this photo.

Former LA news person Jim Avila is returning to local TV news. He's been hired as an investigative reporter at KGTV in San Diego. He retired from broadcast news in 2021. Avila worked at KNBC early in his career.

The arrival of new anchor Chauncy Glover to CBS Los Angeles in October signals the departure of current evening co-anchor Jeff Vaughn. Vaughn arrived in Los Angeles from Detroit in 2015. Coincidentally both Glover and Vaughn have worked in Michigan and Texas markets. No word on what day will be Vaughn's last at the duopoly or where he is headed to next.

Chauncy Glover has signed on with the CBS duopoly in Los Angeles and will join Pat Harvey at the anchor desk weeknights on KCAL and KCBS beginning in October. Glover arrives from Houston, TX where he was an anchor at KTRK. No word yet on whether Glover will bring his Chauncy Glover Project to SoCal. The project mentors latino and Black youth. Welcome to Southern California, Chauncy.

Chauncy Glover joins the station from KTRK, the ABC-owned station in Houston, and will be on the afternoon and evening newscasts beginning Oct. 2.

She was our entertainment intern about seven years ago.
After stops in Colorado Springs and Fresno, Shayla is back at ABC7. You’ll soon be seeing her doing some news reporting and filling in at the weather desk (she just finished her meteorology studies!).
