After six months wandering in the wilderness, we’re back. Welcome to The Old Dog Pack Show — the world’s premier podcast regarding the mind, body, soul, and money of the middle-aged man.

Episode 101 has the whole gang back together again. Cory “The Governor” Dakin, Dr. Brian Rees, and Craig Jackson knock the rust off with a very special Valentine’s Day episode. They talk WWII. They talk Taylor and Travis. They talk Valentine’s Day (is it a real holiday?). They talk Brokeback Mountain. They talk about their hiatus. We hope you’ll tune back in and put us back in your regular rotation.

So here we are on Valentine's Day Eve, and I am betting you're one of those guys who is planning on running by Kroger on the way home from work and grabbing the remnants of some beat up bouquet of flowers and a $6.00 greeting card that's not too sappy and not too silly. The fellows and I decided to pen a tune about a never-ending love. Christmas has "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." Thanksgiving has "Alice's Restaurant Massacree." Now Valentine's Day has "Be My Valentine For Eternity."

They do the Budweiser vs Coors taste test (no light versions). Brian demonstrates his ignorance by failing to recognize the greatness of The Statler Brothers. Of course, no ODP espisode is complete without a Barry DeVorzon sighting, and Craig provides his review of "Rolling Thunder" with Tommy Lee Jones and the great William Devane. Finally, Brian regales us with tales of his one night with Joan Jett.

In episode 56, the boys welcome Cory “The Governor” Dakin back to the studio. The boys discuss the greatness of Brian’s surprise birthday party as well as the greatness of surprises, in general. Following that, there is a thorough and thoughtful discussion about the inherent attractiveness of Scandinavian women. In episode 17, Brian and Craig discuss performance anxiety and the dismal failure that is the Olympics. As per their usual, as an added bonus, they end up bitching and moaning about the state of the world and, specifically, about how much easier it is to shut up than to have a real discussion about anything.

Well, we’ve discovered an episode that was probably recorded about the time we began our sabbatical. I would say we hope it is still relevant, but that would imply that we’ve actually had something relevant to offer.

In Episode 15, Brian and Craig provide an update in the Spencer Jones saga discussed in Episode 13.

Craig explains the importance of knowing your judge in any legal matter and does his best imitation of one of the worst judges the DFW Metroplex has had in his 24 years as a lawyer.

Dr. Brian discusses COVID, cannabis, and corporal punishment as they relate to his adolescent patients. Craig describes the time he spanked each of his kids.

Craig’s son, Drake, joins to discuss tell his side of the spanking story and to serve as the third judge for the TV Theme Song Challenge. This marks the beginning of the second round of the challenge and features the theme from “S.W.A.T.” vs “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “Wonder Woman” vs “Baretta,” and “Welcome Back, Kotter” vs “Golden Girls.”
