Einox, who has been presenting various genres of work with its characteristic sound design, makes a recursive attempt to techno through EP [Natural Inversion].
Einox included IDM and D&B within his work category, and now creates his own field by appropriating the features of each genre in this EP [Natural Inversion].
Each track has a clear sound-layers that create its own groove, even in the overlap of several rhythms.
In particular, there are two four-on-the-floor rhythm tracks “Sensor Reflexivity” and “Brushed Particles” which are faithful to the basic wording of dance music. And these emphasize the characteristics of the sound design pursued by Einox.

그동안 특징적인 사운드 디자인으로 다양한 장르의 작업을 발표해 온 Einox는 EP [Neural Inversion]를 통해 테크노로의 재귀적 시도를 꾀한다. IDM과 D&B까지를 자신의 작업적 범주 내에 포함시켰던 Einox는 본 EP [Neural Inversion]에서 각 장르의 특장점을 전유하여 자신만의 자장을 만들어 낸다. 각 트랙은 여러 리듬의 중첩에도 명료한 소리-레이어들은 고유한 그루브를 생성한다 특히 포-온-더-플로어(four-on-the-floor)리듬의 두 트랙 ‘Sensor Reflexivity’와 ‘Brushed Particles’와 댄스 음악의 기본적 어법에 충실하며, Einox가 추구하는 사운드 디자인의 특징을 강조한다.

Yomi is a Taiwanese Korean techno DJ based in Seoul. She Having loved rock since she was a child, debuted as a DJ in 2017 through various genres of experience and is expanding her career through several Venues.

She expresses the sense of space well through deep and melodical&fun sounds.
She grew up in a variety of cultures and thought she was weird and had ’contradiction‘ to herself with a variety of values. She plays raw and industrial tune, but sometimes she likes to mix it with emotional and beautiful music. As if her identity is ambiguous.
She hopes people to feel various senses and emotions through the conflicting music she plays to find inner energy and light.

SOSEOL’s EP “pov” is a calculated expression that thoroughly analyzes and solves inspirational elements obtained from large human-made buildings, engineering designs and symmetries.

The cover, photographer Ha Jun-ho’s work, which expressed “virtual architectural space”, visually expressed the theme of the album. The hard bass and percussion instruments felt on the track are stably divided and positioned like piers, and they amplify the listener’s self-emotions by creating a tense harmony with three-dimensional main synths.

And all of LP’s production processes, including vinyl mastering, were conducted at the domestic studio “Motherbird”, and together with professional engineer “Ed Kim”. They created a listening element that shows a great gap between analog and digital.

The official music video, which released with the title song “Invert”, is an edited video of the short film “POV” produced by “Kim Min-joon”, a film director and writer. “POV” was awarded the Achievement Award at the “Southern Shorts Awards Film Festival” in USA and was nominated at the “Seoul Short Film Festival” in Korea, “The Golden Short Film Festival” in Italy, and the “Paris 2020 Laurels Film Festival” in France.

Soseol works as a DJ and made his debut as a producer with his first album released in 2012. He is an electronic musician who established a record label “Mankinart” to form the domestic electronic music market and continue his external steps to participate in art-based projects such as movies and exhibitions, giving electronic music various paths and expertise.

The third project of ‘ ’ () will be held at ‘ ’ () on February 11th.

Melt, located in , Busan, is a space rooted in electronic music culture and has established itself as a unique venue. Melt is leading local art culture by coexisting with talented domestic and foreign artists, and collaborating with ().

Pallet‘s third project with Melt will be with the opening performance of Sun Gin() that creates a free and dynamic dance floor by meditative and hypnotic tracks through DJing in Korea and Europe.
And, () who that sensibly sends out unique sounds for each performance as a modular synthesizer artist is going to show live performance.
Also, there will be a performance by (), who continuously releasing his own tracks as founder of record label (), and bringing the audience’s focus to its unique grip and meticulous mix through numerous performances.
Then, (), who worked as a resident artist at Seoul‘s leading underground club ‘vurt’ and ‘volnost’ will express her own colors which is built on many performances and experiences and give the audience a deep sense of immersion.
Lastly, there will be a performance by TÆRI KIM (), who is sending out groovy tracks with experimental sounds and unique melodies focus on the techno genre in various places and spaces.

서울 근현대 모습을 고스란히 간직하고 있는 용산구 이촌동에 위치한 아베트는 복합문화공간을 주제로 각종 전시와 미용산업 공유 공간으로 운영되는 베뉴이다. 이번 이벤트를 통해 아베트 내 외부의 특색 있는 공간들을 세세하게 살펴볼 수 있다.

' 자연의 동사 ' / Work Note

물결이 인다. 잎이 흔들린다. 빛이 반짝인다. 자연의 움직임은 일반화된 이미지로 머릿속에 저장된다. 그들은 우리의 시선을 끌지 못한 채 일상의 숱한 풍경 중 하나로 지나간다. 하지만 자연의 움직임은 그 어느 때에도 같은것이 없다.

방향과 속도, 각도, 불특정한 반복, 얽히고설키는 잔상, 진해지고 옅어지는색, 때로는 한 자리에 고정된 듯 보이는 무늬까지. 무수한 요소가 포개지거나 분산되고, 연결되는 듯 끊기고, 연속되는 동시에 분절되며 물결을 일으키고, 잎을 흔들고, 빛을 반짝인다. 그리고 오직 그때, 그 순간만의 고유한움직임인 자연의 동사(The verb)가 완성된다. 자연이 만들어내는 동사는이윽고 패턴화된 하나의 풍경으로 우리 눈 속에 들어오지만 그 언제 어디에서도 반복된 적 없고, 앞으로도 반복되지 않을 것이다.

그것만으로 충분히 유일무이하며 돌아올 수 없는 것. 일상적으로 마주하는자연의 움직임에서 고유성을 발견하는 일은 일상적이지 않은 일상을 인식하는 특별함의 경험이 된다. 뭉뚱그려진 풍경은, 일반화된 풍경은, 반복이라는 속성에 의해 의미가 옅어진 풍경은. 오직 그 시간, 그 장소, 나만이 볼수 있다는 고유성이 전제되는 순간 휘발됐던 아름다움이 되살아난다. 이따금 찾아보고 약간은 감동받을 만한 장면으로 뒤바뀐다. 나만이 감각할 수있는 일상을 느낀다는 건 그 자체로 우리의 기분을 조금은 나아지게 하지않을까. 다른 누군가도 아닌 나를 위해서.

시리즈는 일상 곳곳에 녹아있는 자연물의 움직임을 포착하고, 그 움직임으로부터 파생되는 다양한 방식의 무빙 패턴을 테크노 사운드와 결합시켜 그 시간, 그 장소만의 유일무이한 자연의 동사(The verb)를 기록해 나가는 프로젝트다. 테크노라는 장르는 마치 파편화되어 독립적인 개체로 존재하던 원소로서의 사운드를 무수한 형태로 조합/분산, 연결/단절, 연속/분절함으로써 마치 불규칙 속에서규칙을 찾아내는 음악처럼 다가왔다. 동시에 한 번도 반복되지 않는 패턴으로 완성된다는 점에서 테크노라는 음악이 그리는 사운드적 풍경은 마치자연의 움직임과 닮아 보였다. 이러한 테크노의 사운드와 자연의 무빙 패턴이 만들어 내는 시청각적 체험이 우리가 스치고 지나가던 풍경에서 각자만의 고유한 자연의 동사를 발견하는 무의식의 계기를 만들어 주기를 기대한다.

‘The Verb #1’로 시작되는 시리즈는 각자만의 풍경, 그 고유성이 존재하는 한 계속해서 무한대로 확장될 것이다. 앞으로 우리가 발견할 숱한 동사가 또 다른 동사를 발견하게 만드는 감각을 깨우쳐 주기를. 내일 언젠가 길을 나선다면 오직 각자만이 감각할 수 있는 자연의 동사를 하나씩 더해 가기를. 각자의 삶에서 발견한 유일무이한 동사가 다시금 당신을 움직이게 하는 기분 좋은 동력이 되기를바라며.

Waves are rising. Leaves are wobbling. Light is shining.
Movements of nature are captured in our heads as generalized images.
They just pass beside us like one of daily sceneries while being not able to bring any attention.
However, every movement of nature has never been the same even once.
Direction and speed, angle, unspecified repetition, knotty afterimages, colors getting darker and lighter, even patterns that seem fixed in one spot. Innumerable natural elements are overlapped or dispersed, connected or disconnected, and continued or split, which makes waves, shakes leaves and brightens light. And at that time, ‘The Verb from Nature’, the unique movement of only each moment, is completed. The verb created by nature comes into our eyes as a patterned scene, but it has never been repeated anytime anywhere, and will not be repeated anytime anywhere.

Something that is unique enough itself and cannot be done over again. Discovering the uniqueness from movements of nature that we meet routinely becomes a special experience in recognizing an extraordinary ordinary day. Generalized and standardized landscape because of repetition of daily nature can bring back its own beauty when the uniqueness only I can see here now is presupposed. Daily landscape turns into something different that is worth appreciating sometimes and a little touching. Wouldn't it definitely make you feel better to discover and experience your everyday scenery that only you can sense? For yourself, not anyone else.

Series is the project to document unique nature’s movements(The Verb) by observing and capturing each nature scenery in daily life, making various moving patterns, and combining it with techno music. We felt that techno music discovers rules in irregularities by merging/dispersing, connecting/disconnecting, and continuing/segmenting sounds, which existed as fragmented and independent entities, in uncountable ways. In addition, techno’s sound-landscapes look like movements of nature in that it is finally completed as a pattern that is never repeated. The audiovisual experience created by techno music and nature’s moving patterns can make us meet an unconscious opportunity to discover our own natural verbs in daily life.

This series started with ‘The Verb #1’ will continue to expand to infinity like 2, 3, 4, 5… as long as we have our own unique scenery. With , we hope you meet tomorrow on the road a new verb that only you can get, discover more and more verbs that can awaken your new sense, and also which becomes good energy to make you drive yourself.
