"It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" - Andy Williams 🎼🎶

As the calendar turns to December 24, 2024, Union Echo members gladly express their best wishes to all Unionites! With hearts full of joy and appreciation, we take this opportunity to honor the season of giving, love, and unity.

Christmas is more than just twinkling lights and joyful gatherings; it is a reminder of the common values that make our community so unique. The spirit of friendship and compassion continues to show brightly in our classrooms and hallways.

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, we pray that every Unionite finds joy in the warm embrace of loved ones, where laughter fills the air and hearts are lifted. May you experience solace in the quiet moments of reflection, where peace and gratitude gently remind us of the blessings we treasure. Let this season inspire us all to dream daringly and with courage for the new year ahead of us, filling our hearts with hope and determination to achieve the greater good.

May this season be a time of boundless joy and cherished memories, from the simple gatherings of shared meals to the wonder of giving and receiving kindness. Let us all bask in the magic of Christmas, a time when love and generosity unite us, and carry that light forward into everything we do as Unionites.

Let us all take a moment to reflect on the blessings and graces we’ve received this year and all the opportunities we’ve had to grow, not only as people but as individuals who strive to make a fostering community for everyone.

Whether it’s through small acts of kindness, guiding others to success, or simply being present and of company to others, the Christmas spirit of every Unionite continues to shine bright like the star atop a Christmas tree. Together, let’s welcome the true meaning of the holiday season: spreading love and kindness and creating a brighter future for all.

May this Christmas bring each and every one of us a myriad of joy and love. Because no matter how you celebrate this moment, we are all deserving of the warmth and happiness this season brings, and may it make an everlasting mark in our lives.💟🌟

✨”Let's sing merry christmas and a happy holiday. this season, may we never forget the love we have for Jesus” - Jose Mari Chan 🎁

And just like that, we’re only three more sleeps away before the big night! A humble maiden gives birth to the greatest gift the world could ever receive: the Savior, wrapped in swaddling clothes. The choir of angels rejoices, and the three kings lay their precious gifts at his feet. The star shines brightly, guiding the shepherds and their flocks to where they are meant to be, leading them to the Christ child.

So, get your Christmas trees ready, perfect those gift-wrapping skills, and prepare your hearts with prayers of thanksgiving, because this holiday season is sure to be filled with love, joy, and hope.

"Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock" ❄️❕

Christmas is already a few days away and we can already feel that tingling feeling of joy and excitement whenever december finally arrives —the planning of family reunions on the 24th being made, the noises of laughter and cheer from every corner of the Philippines, from every christmas party, the blinking and sparkling lights of parols and decorations that almost everyone has hung up since september, the grocery shopping with mothers for the noche buena feast, the amount of people coming to church at night to serve the Lord at the "simbang gabi", the secrecy of parents whenever it came to their children's gifts and of course, and the sounds of all choirs getting everything polished for their "once-a-year" christmas kantata.

Like superman, we hope that your christmas spirit continues to soar high and above, and that your faith has enough super-strength to get you through anything and everything you may face in the upcoming new year.

"Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet, Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet - That's the jingle bell That's the jingle bell rock" ‼️📣

Beep beep! The PCU UHSM’S Field trip is passing by. Take a sneak peek from last November 14, 2024 as the teachers and Unionites come together to learn and enjoy on this fun but educational adventure!

They made their first stop at Fort Santiago in Intramuros! Students took in the view of the open field and listened closely as their respective tour guides shared the fascinating history of the place. They had visited the dungeons and Jose Rizals’ Museo. It was a perfect mix of fun, learning, and discovering the past that shaped our country.

The second stop was at Change Maker 2040! PCU UHSM entered the divine museum, where they were guided to the first room. There, they learned about the history behind Change Maker 2040 and its 17 goals. They also discussed the five core pillars that drive the initiative. After the lovely presentation, they talked about rules for the museum and what to expect from the exhibits. Finally, the students, who were eager to explore, were allowed to enter the first exhibit room, ready to play, discover, and learn even more.

For their final stop, they visited Art in Island! The largest mixed media art museum in the Philippines!
The students were excited to arrive at the destination, eager to snap fun selfies and explore the coolest & amazing designs throughout the museum. It is clear how many pictures the students took as they were in awe at the art.

Finally, all tired from the fun, PCU UHSM made their way back to the school to go home. On the way, they took naps while listening to music in their respective busses. The students had a blast! Until next time, Unionites!

10/12/2024

In celebration of the Christmas spirit, Philippine Christian University hosted a beautiful Christmas Cantata last December 4, 2024, with the theme “Christmas Harmony ‘24”.

The heartwarming program began with a wonderful introit by the UES Ballet and ACTS Manila, followed by the solemn processional lighting of the Advent Candles. The candle of Hope was lit by the Kiddie College with Mrs. Beverly Princess B. Gonzales; The candle of Peace was lit by the Union Elementary School with Mrs. Marifel D. Li Fong; Felicity Sanchez (Treasurer - SSC) lit the Candle of love; Mrs. Beverly Princess B. Gonzales lit the Candle of Joy; and finally, Mrs. Marifel D. Li Fong (Principal of Kiddie College, Union Elementary School, and the Junior High School) lit the Christ’s Candle.

Moving forward, the liturgist, Ms. Dana Nicole G. Daisog, led the call to worship which was then followed by the opening prayer by Mrs. Beverly Princess B. Gonzales. Dr. Hannah O. Lopez, the supervising principal, then shared her warm remarks and extended a heartfelt welcome to everybody with a smile spreading the Christmas spirit within the chapel.

The next segment, Message Through Songs: “Christmas Harmony ‘24” began with a lively performance by the Little Singers, who cheerfully sang “Twelve Days of Christmas” and “Away in a Manger”. This was followed by a beautiful “Nativity Tableau” presented by the Kiddie College. Their captivating performance was followed by the JHS Glee Club, who performed the cheerful “Christmastime” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas”. The two groups, both conducted by Maestro GB Supetran, then came together to serenaded the audience with the lovely songs, “Christmas Shines” and “Noche Buena”.

After everyone’s captivating performances, the program continued with the call to offering with the offertory by Mr. George Bernard P. Supetran. The event then came to a close with the singing of the closing hymn, “Joy to the World,” and a closing prayer by Rev. Dr. Ricardo D. Bernardino.

May this Christmas cantata fill you with the holiday spirit and lots of love! A big thank you to the teachers, administrators, staff, and especially the Unionites who gave their time and effort to make this day special. Enjoy your holidays, Unionites!
