Story Of Resilience.

So, I woke up around 4:30 to watch the day 5 of Ind vs Aus 3rd test, that morning I was quite nervous because the Indian team was walking wounded against the world’s best bowling attack and we had to chase 407 on the 4th innings, everyone believed that the Aussies will win the match but one team didn’t that was India.
They came to bat with the score of 98 - 2 Ajinkya and Pujara started playing and within a couple of overs, the first wicket falls the Skipper gone, and then comes the man Rishab pant who was in severe pain in nets last evening, he came at No.5 everyone was surprised he looked a bit dodgy, Aussies were hitting him bouncers and targeting his injured elbow but he kept telling himself "Chal, tujhe Kuch nahi Hua hai (Nothing happened to you)"
He was like mothering himself and started taking off Nathan Lyon he hit a four and a six in that over Pujara was batting in the other end in his own style. Suddenly the momentum changed. Pant was looking more aggressive and hands down this was his best innings but “You Live by a Sword You Die By a sword” he got out at 97 missed his well-deserved 100. Within a couple of overs, Pujara also got out suddenly Aussies were in.
Then comes the resilient partnership ever between Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin. Vihari Injured his hamstring at the start of his innings, he was not able to run or move, and Ashwin who had a back spasm in the morning. He couldn’t tie his laces that were the pain he was going through.
He comes in and got peppered by Aussie quick’s got one on the shoulder and one in the ribs but he didn’t give up on the other end Vihari who put his career on the line to bat for his country. The next batsman to come in was Ravindra Jadeja padded up with a dislocated thumb but Vihari and Ashwin had different thoughts they battled for close to 4 hours with their injuries to draw the match.
This test match watch was remarkable in many ways a guy was batting with an injured elbow one with injured hamstrings one with a back problem and the next guy padded up with a dislocated thumb. Every guy in that team was rattling in pain. I think it would be not wrong if we say this is the toughest Indian team ever. This team is that kind of team if you throw stones at them they will turn them into milestones.

Sunil Chhetri the skipper of the Indian football team he is one of the players because of whom the Indian football team became popular.

Sunil was born on August 3, 1984, in Secunderabad. He started his football career at a very young age where he actively took part in several tournaments.

On July 1, 1961, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, who in those days was playing for Oxford University in England, was involved in a car mishap. In a head-on accident with another car, a splinter from the windscreen entered his right eye, and he lost the lens of his eye.

In his autobiography, he mentions that the surgeon told him, “You will find it better to play Cricket using one-eye, as a contact lens would take too long to master.”

That must have been quite disheartening, but ‘Tiger’ never thought of giving up. He underwent an eye-surgery; and in a matter of weeks, he was back in the nets in spite of vision problems. He writes, “With a contact lens in my injured eye I found I could get 90 percent of my vision. The only trouble was it made me see two of everything.”

The legend found his way through this handicap, adjusting his game in little ways, like opening up his stance. Magically, he made his debut for India in less than 6 months… and the rest as they say is history. His entire career after that accident has to be one of the nation’s greatest Cricket stories.

Salim Durani was one of those maverick cricketers who could change the game by himself.
He was known for his big shots and his royal aura off the field he was highly popular in the '60s and early '70s.

Once Durrani said -
'' It was the people’s love. This (sixes on demand) happened in Kolkata, Bombay, and Chennai. But if I had hit a six every time the people demanded one, I would score 300-400 runs in every innings. ''

Salim was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1934 and his family settled in India when he was 3.

He started playing for Saurashtra but he soon moved to Rajasthan because Saurashtra was quite a weak team at that time.
He made his first test debut in 1960 vs Australia and his first outing was not that great so he was dropped but soon after his domestic performance, he was called back to play against England in 1961 and he took 12 wickets in 2 matches and India won that match.

His memorable bowling performance was against the great windies where he dismissed Sir Clive Lloyd and Sir Garry Sobers in one innings and turned the match.

He became widely popular because he used to hit 6's on-demand, whenever the audience demand six he used to hit for them.

Once Salim Durrani was dropped from the team, so the crowd was heartbroken and started chanting "No Salim No Test.''
