I'm glad we booked nice accommodations in London, because we were all kinda stuck at the hotel off and on fighting off a stomach bug 🥴
But we enjoyed what we could of London none the less 🇬🇧💂💷 All the food we had was so dang delicious!

EVERYONE is SO kind. The Portuguese food is delicious. We loved every bit of our stay.
We got to spend a part of our Portugal trip visiting the Chaus!!

Finally made a trip to Branson, Missouri! Branson is very beautiful this time of year with all the color in the 🍁 🍃 🍂
From Top of the Rock to a Magic show, nature trail to swimming, Silver Dollar City to Fantastic Caverns, we had a great time exploring the Branson area and having fun on site at the lakeside resort.

Paul and I are in Philly right now...
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I loved my childhood, we were poor but we were always surrounded by family and I thought it was an abundant life. But my parents tried their hardest to make ends meet year after year.
When I was 13, they decided to pick up and move to Philadelphia, 2700 miles away from everything we knew because they heard there was opportunity, knowing only one person.
It was rough, the house was rough, the streets were rough, life was rough.
I remember everyone in the family working so damn hard. At 13, my sisters and I worked with a temp agency that shuttled us around to different 'opportunities.'
We'd clean high rise corporate office buildings at night, we'd put on those black and white waitress outfits and serve hors d'oeuvres at fancy rich parties in mansions in the catering biz and be home at 2am. I highlight these as opportunities because I then dreamt of the day I worked a corporate lifestyle and host parties, not be the help.
We lived in a rough neighborhood. Here was our daily jaunt to get to school...
My sister and I would walk about 3/4 mile to catch the trolley, then get off to take a bus, then walk another 1/4 mile to the schools. Walking through those neighborhoods, we met some friends along the way... gang members. Everyone there was basically in one gang or another. In 7th grade, my friends and I were ditching school, running from the po-po, they smoked and drank, asked me if I'd want a puff or a swig (no for me). I had a boyfriend who was older and a gangster, driving souped up cars and selling drugs at the corners.
This was my life, you are what your surroundings are. Your net worth is in your network. In California, my net worth was high, although we were poor, I was surrounded by family weekly. My network was my parents' family and friends whom we saw constantly. In Philly, my network of friends was bringing me into some negative times that tore my mom to shreds.

The kids have been homeschooled the past 3 years and loved it, but they love public school too.
Off to another chapter! Tears were held back 😭
First time in middle school environment as a 7th grader for Tyce.
Tinley is going in as a 5th grader.
Everly is going to conquer 4th.
Last stops California and Nevada
The purpose of this entire trip was to see my grandma in California, we just celebrated her 90th birthday! 🎂
She didn't remember me during our visit in December but she remembered me this week 🥲💕
Our family in Cali is huge, we had lots of fun reminiscing about old times and creating new memories. Loads of fun and food, but no pictures 🙁

Took tons of pictures, but none of them will ever capture the actual beauty of the canyons... every single stop we made, we stood there and thought, this is crazy, it looks like it's just a picture, not real in front of us.

Crazy how nature carves out these beautiful places for us all to enjoy.
Zion National Park 🏞️ Utah
This country has SO many different natural wonders, we've loved every National Park we've ever visited, all for different reasons.
We'll definitely be coming back to Zion in the future when the kids can handle longer, more difficult hikes.

So cool to be in Pasadena for the Rose Parade. It was too cold to camp out overnight, but we managed to do a 3am wake up call
Punalu'u Black Sand Beach - sand is so soft, but SO hot because of the sun's heat.
442 waterfall - a quick hike to get there. Akaka Falls
It was an excursion to get to the green sand beach on the southern side of the island. We drove to a dirt parking lot, then locals gave rides in the back of their pickup truck through the beautiful but rough terrain to get to the olive green sands of Papakōlea Green Sand Beach
People choose to hike the almost 3 miles there, then back, but NOT ME! With three kids in tow, uh uh, I pay cash money to not hike it

We woke up yesterday in Breckinridge with about 6 inches of snow that fell overnight and a snowstorm that continued through the day. But we were determined to make our way home to Texas as planned. ⠀ ⠀ What should've been a 5.5 hour drive time to Amarillo for an overnight stay, turned out to be about 11 hours drive. ⠀ ⠀ Once we passed Trinidad, Colorado, we had to take one detour after another because conditions on the road from the snowstorm caused plenty of road closures. ⠀ ⠀ Everybody was in good spirits throughout the drive and we found our day pretty comical. ⠀ ⠀ Hoping everyone who drove through yesterday's storm is well! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 1st video 🎵 : Feeling Fine Artist: Uncleboris ⠀ Last video 🎵: New Horizons Artist: Rafael Krux ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #goinghome #skiseason2022 #byecolorado
