I was hired to DJ for Hoover’s Teacher Institute today. 11 elementary schools during the morning session, Berry, Simmons, Bumpus, Spain Park, & Hoover High in the afternoon, equaling around 1,900 staff members. From the looks of the video it seems like they are actually excited to go back to school! 1 MIN VIDEO BELOW. PRESS PLAY!!🤣

This past weekend I was blessed with a special opportunity. I was flown out to Jacksonville, Fla to DJ at one of the most prestigious golf courses in the country….TPC Sawgrass. This was both a fun & educational weekend leading into the PGA Works Collegiate Championship! I was spinning on the green on Saturday morning, Top Golf Saturday night, & the PGA TOUR HEADQUARTERS on Sunday! Let’s just say that my presence was definitely felt. Gave out several business cards and will be traveling more very soon. Stay tuned and….Le’Go!!

This makes “17” for our girl! She never asks for anything, and we want to give her the world. She doesn’t normally show a lot of emotion, so when she teared up it broke us down too!🥹🤣❤️ We love you KK! Le’Go!!

Last night was a tough night, but I definitely saw God as clearly as ever. We WON a big game against a rival school, but early in the second quarter one of our players, leaders, and most dependable guys had a pretty gruesome injury. He dislocated his elbow. You could hear a pin drop in the stadium. Vestavia’s EMT did a wonderful job handling such a sensitive situation. As he was wheeled off so many of our players had tears in their eyes, but were rejuvenated when Reid put his fist in the sky. Where does God come in? I looked around and saw SO MANY cheerleaders, dancers, coaches, all praying for Reid. As I prayed I was reminded that God ALLOWED this to happen. Reid was chosen because he knew that Reid could handle it, and HE would get glory from this. Reid would have probably wanted a 3 touchdown game along with 10 tackles. However, as amazing as that would have been, it wouldn’t have brought a team, school, and community together like he did last night. Arm was reset, has full range, no breaks, and as of now no surgery. God is SO GOOD! Our guys threw up 8 fingers when we scored in honor of our #8! We won it for him. Le’Go!!

Wifey Lori Spriggs Sills & I had such a GREAT dinner and tour with our Hibbett friends Brown Kelley & Betty Mellan Sermon. It feels more like family than friends to be honest. We have HUGE PLANS for our 2nd year of “Shoe of the Week!” Stay tuned...😎. Also, the tour of the Hibbett Corporate Office was UNBELIEVABLE. That place is MASSIVE! We even saw the CEO & Vice CEO’s offices. We are very blessed to be connected with you all as well as one of THE BEST companies around. We are faithful customers for sure🤣😎😉.

Spent the week moving our oldest Makiyah Sills into her apartment in Charlotte, NC this week. It is such a nice city. UNC Charlotte’s campus was beautiful, and we had the BEST tour guide and friend Jennifer Winningham Owens. We hadn’t seen each other in 20 years since were were in college at TN Tech! Makiyah will be running track one last year as well. That goodbye was tougher than I thought it would be, as we all huddled together with tears running down our faces, & prayed over her bf going into the airport. We are so excited for you and are with you every step of the way. You hv always made us proud! Continue growing into the beautiful, strong, independent woman that God designed you to be. We love you! Happy Birthday to our firstborn!! This is year “22” for her…..👀🥹❤️. She has a heart of gold, and will be moving to Charlotte in August to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She will run track there as well for one more year! We are so proud of you. Here is a little something to help you with that 6 hour drive🤣. We love you!😍

What a great 1st Day for the DJ Sillz training sessions! Two elementary students, three high school students, & one adult walked away today with a bunch of new skills, as well as a ton of excitement!! So proud of how serious and eager they were about becoming a DJ. Thanks for trusting me with this! Can’t wait to dig deeper in those crates! Le’Go!!

Please help us celebrate our 2nd grader, Slylar, for winning the DJ Sillz/Lori Sills SHOE OF THE WEEK!” Her teacher and stand up guy, Mr. Devon Davis nominated her after he witnessed Sky being a good friend to her classmate that just had their dog pass away🥹. Sky just went through this about a month ago, so she could definitely relate. Of course due to a conflict of interest, Sky offered her shoes up to another deserving student. This student’s name is Leidy, and is in Kindergarten. We also gave away 3 other pairs of Jordans at the 5th grade tour @ HMS, to 5th graders at each of the elementary schools @ the HMS pep rally! Had a wonderful opportunity to bless a special student who attends Pelham Park Middle School with “Shoe of the Week.” Treson is such a great kid, who is battling cancer. He is SO POSITIVE & is determined to beat it. The success rate of conquering his type of cancer is very high, and he is doing very well. Pelham City Schools is like a 2nd home to me. Great 1st meet at the Crossplex for our girl! Out of 72 women hurdlers she came in 2nd. My buddy & principal Wendy Jordan Story had a BACK TO SCHOOL SWIM PARTY for her entire staff and kids and it was 🔥🔥🔥. You know she had DJ Sillz on the 1’s & 2’s!!😎 Rebecca Smith & Lisa Holland led the way with the amazing dance moves and had lots of backup with vocals from the rest of of the S.C. crew!! Even got to see one of my most favorite ladies…Karen Baggett, AKA “Ma-Baggett!” Love yall! Le’Go!
