Introducing 3Disciple, a new magazine dedicated to supporting the architectural visualisation industry!
As Editor In Chief of the magazine, my mission has been to publish a curated snapshot of archviz talent, drawing attention to smaller studios and freelancers whilst featuring well-known industry brand names.
I started 3Disciple as an alternative to the social media ‘infinite scroll-and-like’ world we live in today. I believe it’s nice to pause and offline yourself in analogue print. Taking time out to learn about the people behind the artwork, who they are and what information they wish to share to differentiate themselves.
I should highlight that 3Disciple is a brand-backed publication and the rules of talent inclusion are simple. All contributors must use SiNi Software 3ds Max plugins in the ex*****on of their artwork to qualify.
The magazine is fully funded by SiNi Software and has no other sponsors. It includes a few industry friends, including other publications, industry competitions, conferences and meet-ups as well as a page of selected 3ds Max plugins. Hopefully, this is useful for 3D artists.
You will also find an exclusive 10-page interview with the Autodesk 3ds Max team where we discuss a lot of relevant topics and touch on where Autodesk stands on supporting the archviz industry.
3Disciple is published in both high-quality print and digital formats. The digital PDF version is free to download whereas the print version can be purchased online or alternatively, is included with the purchase of SiNi 3ds Max plugin collections, All Access or IgNite.
Please note, magazine purchases from the online store are sold at cost (plus tax and postage).
The print version is 108 pages.
The interactive digital version is 114 pages and includes the full 10-page Autodesk 3ds Max interview.
Acknowledgements
It took close to 50 people to make 3Disciple Magazine. I am grateful for everyone's contribution as it has been a team effort to pull this off in 3 months.
Thank you to my assistant editor, Jennifer Mills, whose professional language skills and proofreading expertise have ensured 3Disciple is legible and error-free!
Thank you Nicolas Fonta and Nancy LaRue for agreeing to share your thoughts on Autodesk 3ds Max. I believe the exclusive ‘Meet the Maker’ interview will give an insight into Autodesk's commitment to the architectural visualisation community.
My gratitude and thanks must be attributed to all the talented contributors whose artwork has made printing 3Disciple a collectable time-capsule reminder of the global archviz industry in 2019.
