Do’s & Dont’s of Facebook Ads for your E-commerce business:
Advertising on Facebook is an incredibly powerful tool for your brand's marketing. However, getting started with Facebook ads requires a lot of trial and error
You should absolutely know what to do to get more sales for your business & how to scale your ad campaigns.
Here’s the list of DO’S you should do:
1. Do know your target - You should make your customer persona whom you wanna show you ads before start running ads, this helps a lot in targeting the right person for your product.
2. Do use high-quality creatives - All the graphics, photos & videos you use for your ads should be very high quality, low-quality creatives tend to convert less.
3. Do track your ads - After IOS 14 update, tracking has become difficult but not impossible, you are can UTM codes and other tracking tools to track your ads & do changes accordingly.
4. Do testing of new ads - Testing has become very important after IOS 14.5, make a new campaign only for testing. You can test different creatives, captions, headlines, audiences for your brand & find many winner ads from them.
Here’s the list of DONT’S you shouldn’t do:
1. Don’t violate facebook’s ad policies - Now a day most brands don’t read the ad policies of Facebook & violate some rules, ultimately they end up either losing their ad account. You should not always make your ads while keeping the policies in mind.
2. Don’t have too low budget - Facebook collects data in your pixel & uses it to show your ads to the correct audience. If you have a low budget then it will become hard to get good results fast.
3. Don’t use automatic placement - Many brands use automatic placement in their ads, which is bad. More than 90% of your customers are gonna come from Facebook & Instagram feeds and Instagram stories. Running ads on messenger & other audience networks is useless. You should not use automatic placement in your ads.
4. Don’t ignore Fb ad fatigue - Ad fatigue is an issue that affects even the most successful Facebook ad campaigns. Most of the brands run the same ad for 4-6 months which is very bad. You should update your ads in every 3-4 weeks.
Hope you will keep these points in mind while running ads for your e-commerce brand.
Have a great day!
