Here’s the reason why… 👇

As a Social Media Manager, it can be hard to keep up with my own social media profiles. Between my clients and my personal life, sometimes, I ignore my own social media… 😬

I’m not saying that’s a good thing. I’m just trying to say that I GET IT!

A lot of people hire a social media manager because they don’t have TIME to do it themselves.

Is this you? If so, give me a shout! I would love to help!

I didn’t know this when I first started.

People always told me, “make sure you add a hook to your posts.” I knew hooks were important, but it took me a while before I realized those people were only partially right.

Not only should I add one hook to my post, I should add 3 hooks! When I figured that out (in combination with engaging with other business owners), I started getting more engagement on my posts!

1️⃣ The first hook should be in the text of your image or video.

-By adding a hook to the text of your image or video, it will attract people who read the image before the caption, making them more likely to stop and read the caption.

2️⃣ The second hook should be the first sentence of your caption.

-Adding a hook as the first sentence of your caption makes people who read the caption before the image interested and want to stop to read your entire post.

3️⃣ The third hook should be in the video portion of your reels.

-A hook at the beginning of your reels should be something that happens in the video itself that makes people stop. While this third hook only applies to reels, this hook encourages people who don’t read the text to stop and watch the reel.

Do you think you’ll try this? 👍🏻👎🏻

If you’re a human, I think you’ll relate. 🤔

It’s hard to continuously come up with new content ideas. Sometimes, it feels like we’ve already said everything, and we have nothing else to say!

That’s why repurposing content is a great way to stay consistent with your posting schedule without having to CONSTANTLY come up with new content ideas.

What is content repurposing?

~Content repurposing is the process of taking a single piece of content and changing the format to be shared again in a different way.

Which content should you repurpose?

~You don’t want to repurpose ALL of your content. Simply pick the pieces of content that have performed the best (gotten the most engagement, views, etc.).

Where can you share repurposed content?

~You can repurpose your content in many different ways. You can change the format and post it on the same platform again, or you can post it on a different platform entirely!

Let me know if you have any questions about repurposing content! 👇

What’s your problem?

Social media can be difficult for so many different reasons.

➡️ Are you struggling to reach your target audience?
➡️ Does it take up too much of your time?
➡️ Do you struggle to come up with content ideas?
➡️ Is there something else you struggle with?

I’ve been struggling this Mother’s Day.

Last year on Mother’s Day, I thought for sure that I would be a mom this year.

I know that a lot of people aren’t “traditional” moms, so I wanted to take a moment to celebrate you!

We love you, and we see you even if your “mom” journey is a little different. 💜

It’s not rocket science.

But you’re probably thinking, “What is a hook?"

What a great question! I’m glad you asked!

👉 A hook is a short sentence or phrase that catches your audience’s attention and makes them want to stop and read/watch your post.

“Where should hooks be used?"

Another great question!

👉 Hooks are typically used in the very beginning of the image/video of your post or the first line of your caption.

With all of that being said, here are my favorite hooks that I’ve personally used lately! ⬇️

➡️ “I want to tell you the truth."
➡️ “You own your own business, but…"
➡️ “There’s this big debate…"
➡️ “Are you freaked out?"
➡️ “It happens all the time."
➡️ “Here’s the thing…"

Keeping hooks short and attention-grabbing is a great way to make your audience interested in what you have to say!

Which hook is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! 👇

There’s a reason why Social Media Managers are always focusing on engagement for their clients.

Engagement is so important because it

1️⃣ Helps you build relationships with your followers and
2️⃣ Helps Instagram figure out who your target audience is

Even as a Social Media & Pinterest Manager, I forget how important engagement is at times; and I forget to engage with people on my own account 🫣.

But there is nothing more important on social media than making sure you’re making real connections with people. Connecting with people and building relationships helps people get to know who you are and makes you more relatable.

Have you engaged with your audience today?

I want to tell you the truth.

There are so many opinions on how to make social media work for your business.

But as a Social Media Manager, it’s my job to let you know when some of the things you hear might not necessarily be true.

Here are some hard truths about social media 👇

➡️ Going “viral” shouldn’t be the goal.
➡️ Simply “showing up” isn’t enough to grow.
➡️ Having a lot of followers doesn’t mean your business is thriving.
➡️ Not every piece of content is going to perform well.
➡️ You shouldn’t rely on trends.
➡️Engaging with others is more important than you think.

Did I leave anything out? Let me know what you would add to the list! 👇

Have you ever been frustrated with how your content performs on social media?

That’s why having a strategy in place for your social media is vital.

First of all, what is a social media strategy?

➡️ A social media strategy is a plan of action for what to post, where to post, and when to post it.

Why do you need one?

➡️ Creating a social media strategy when you are marketing for your business is important because it gives you guidelines when you are creating your posts.

Guidelines help you stay on track to see if your posts are effective in reaching your target audience.

A social media strategy gives you

👉 a plan for posting
👉 an idea for what your target audience is drawn to
👉 assistance with creating content that aligns with your brand identity

If creating a social media strategy is something you struggle with as an Online Service Provider, send me a DM. Let’s work together to create posts that follow a strategy that works for your business!

You own your own business as an Online Service Provider, but when it comes to marketing it on social media, you just don’t have the time.

Keeping up with the trends and algorithm changes, researching relevant hashtags, studying analytics, and actually creating content takes a lot of time away that you could be using for your clients.

If you’re ready to take that stress away and focus more on your clients, then it’s time for you to hire a Social Media Manager.

There’s this big debate in the social media world.

--Is Instagram or Facebook better??--

Well, let’s take a look!

👉 Both Instagram and Facebook have the ability to share reels.
👉 Instagram does not have a “groups” feature like Facebook. Facebook groups are helpful when trying to find people in your niche.
👉 Facebook does not have the ability to share carousels like Instagram. Posting multiple photos on Facebook sometimes does not look aesthetically pleasing like it does on Instagram.
👉 Instagram caters to a younger audience while Facebook caters to a little bit more of an older audience. Depending on your target audience, either Facebook or Instagram might have more people in your target audience’s age range.
👉 More people use Facebook than Instagram. That means that you have the potential to reach more people on Facebook than you would on Instagram.

I’ve seen a lot of Instagram bios that make me go 🤔.

So, I thought I would share a few words of wisdom when it comes to your IG bio.

1️⃣ PROFILE PICTURE - Make sure that your profile picture is either a good picture of you (and only you) or your logo.
2️⃣ BIO - Your bio should include a value statement explaining what you do and the value you provide.
3️⃣ NAME - The “name” section of your profile should include your title to make you searchable.
4️⃣ WEBSITE - If you have a website, including the link is a great way to give people something to do next.
5️⃣ HIGHLIGHTS - You can use the “highlights” to showcase past stories straight to your profile for people to get to know you quickly.

Was this helpful? Comment “audit” below if you need help making sure that your profile is optimized for success!
