Mom and Pop video stores are certainly a thing of the past. In fact, some of you reading this may have been born in a time after these existed but for those of us who are lucky enough to frequent these establishments, there existed a special place inside of them. A place of mystery, possibility and excitement. A place you dare not peek behind in the presence of your parents. A place beyond… We celebrate what was beyond those saloon doors and a classic Lindenhurst business with this shirt. Link available below.

We were lucky enough to come across these photos of what appears tp be a program for the dedication of Lindnhurst High School (this building is now the middle school) in 1931. Swipe to slide 6 to see who was kind(?) enough to donate a Bible tp celebrate this occasion. There is indeed a racist history to our town that we hope people can learn from as there is clearly no place for that sort of hatred in this day and age.
