Moments in May 🌻
1) Walks are getting much prettier 😍
2) We have finally booked the boys christening for July. So lots of planning has been happening.
3) Lots of illness again this month with my oldest. A hospital admission for difficulties with his breathing with they are suspecting ashma so lots of upcoming appointments. Chicken pox also hit the house! 🤒
4) Trying to capture the northen lights in the UK. Which didn't happen for us this was the best photo we could capture. I have been so lucky so visit Iceland and see them 😍
5) First hair cut for littlest. I was prepared for quite how grown up it would make him look 😢
6) Getting the start of some summer reads in 📚
7) The start of festivals. We went to a chilli and chocolate festival. I had a jerk Caribbean bowl which was delish 😋
8) The start of some beach days
All in all May for us been an up and down month. Ive felt quite anxious as a lot has been going in personally especially with my eldest health. But it is also important to capture and remember the good parts of May.

Why did I start researching ways of earning money online?
I have worked incredibly hard to establish myself as a senior practioner in the NHS.
However when I became a Mum for the first time in 2019 my priorities shifted. Being a stay at home parent isn't for everyone. I like to use my brain and challenge myself. However i didn't want to be away from my children. Paying extorionate child care fees. Having that Mum guilt of having others raise my boys and miss out on milestones and precious moments. Being a stay at home Mum also wasn't an option as we couldn't live off one wage and I wouldn't feel fully fulfilled. So I was looking for a perfect balance of working on my terms to provide for my family but also be the one to raise my boys.
I also didn't want the stress of my career and having an impact on my home life with my children.
Every day I am grateful I am able to work towards having both by being a stay at home working Mum. The best of both worlds.

New year......
I will let you into a secret I haven't liked new year for most of my life. Even as a child. I find it an incredibly emotional time and full of pressures to achieve goals. Choosing to focus on what hasn't been so great throughout the year.
However the past 2 years have changed for me. Where I allow myself time to reflect on the good of the year. Practise being kind to myself.

I can now have a business that allows space for my new self. That gives me purpose. Allows me to earn more than a full time wage. So I can be present for all my childrens important moments. As we cannot get time back. Children are only little once.

Motherhood baby milestones anxiety is different second time around
I was so anxious when I had my first baby. Followed everything by the book with milestones. Constantly compared my baby to others. Wondering why my baby wasn't doing what other babies were doing.
Then I had my second. Who hasn't been hitting milestones in the time frames the books say they should be
But guess what's different? I'm not as anxious. Experience of being a second time parent makes me realise and be comfortable knowing that all babies are different. Will meet their milestones at different stages. Most always catch up with my second baby has taught me. This post is just a gentle reminder to parents not to compare and contrast their babies to others. That they will meet their milestones all in good time. When they are ready. However If you are ever concerned I would always encourage speaking with your health visitor and GP. For advice and reassurance.

This time last year I would never of imagined starting my own business. The closest I ever got to that is by watching the apprentice every year which is one of my favourite TV programmes.
Starting a business is alot simplier than you think.

It's so easy to find time you think you don't have
⌛ like myself you might have a netflix or amazon prime subscription. Do you ever find yourself binge watching a series on an evening? Have you ever thought you could watch one less episode and free up another hour of your time?
⌛ Many people lose so much time scrolling on social media. Some people will do this as soon as they wake up on a morning. I've been there we can all be guilty of this. I checked my social media settings to see how much time I was wasting in a day doing this and I was shocked! Losing so much time on being productive as well as comparing my life to others which had a massive impact on my well-being
⌛Have you ever been out drinking on a Friday and Saturday night socialising most weekends. Wake up the next morning and you realise you've lost an entire morning as you feel so hung over?
What I'm trying to say in this post is that we all have time we just have to decide how best to use the time that we have. This can be tricky as a Mum with balancing so many spinning plates but actually. If you look at some of the above ways to make your time more productive you could find that spare hour or two in a day to work towards something thar can achieve your goals and ambitions 💫
As a parent our children's well-being and future Is always at the forefront of our minds. We strongly want to provide them with the best opportunities, a healthy and thriving environment and a bright future. All of the above factor is a powerful motivator to embark on my online business journey. This is my family my biggest why to what I do 💙
We will never be ready to do the things that scare us..
We will never be ready to take that big step
We will never he ready to go outside of our comfort zones
It requires to take risks and to have the courage to embrace change
You tell yourself you will do it tomorrow but you will still be just as scared as you are right now
So take that leap. Do it scared. You will grow so much as a person when you accept the challenges that you face

If you don't have courage to do it for you then do it for them. Time with your children you cannot get back
Don't waste time wishing and dreaming for better things. Don't wish your life away. Dont just live for the weekends and annual leave
