Ever heard of Cock's Eldorado Dredge? ⛏️🏞️ In 1936, this giant machine, one of the Southern Hemisphere's largest, kicked off an 18-year gold and tin mining adventure. Weighing 2,142 tons, it reshaped El Dorado's river flats, dredging a mind-blowing 30,000,000 cubic meters by its retirement in 1954.

🚢 Did you know? Cock's Eldorado Dredge pulled the third most power from the State Electricity Grid, rivaling major cities like Melbourne and Geelong.

🌟 Wangaratta Wednesday 🌟

Ever wondered about the history behind Holy Trinity Cathedral? 🏰✝️ Built in 1908 on land donated by Wangaratta pioneer William Henry Clark, it stands as a testament to the town's enduring spirit.

🔔 Did You Know? The cathedral houses Australia's oldest complete ring of bells, cast in 1806 by John Rudhall. Originally from St. George's Church, Bolton, they found a new home in Wangaratta in 1987 after a tower was built to house them.

⛪️ Architectural Beauty: Crafted with locally quarried granite and designed by Walter Butler, the cathedral's timeless elegance reflects Wangaratta's history in every stone.

🎶 Musical Heritage: The cathedral's organ, built in 1902 by Henry Willis & Sons, adds a melodic touch to its historic halls, filling the space with beautiful tunes.

Share your favorite moments or discoveries about Holy Trinity Cathedral below!
