Introducing the TAPE DRUM Kontakt Instrument 🥁 TAPE DRUM drips with vibe, the unmistakeable sound of vintage tape machines, and that undeniably cool drum sound that we’re all always chasing after. All sounds were captured through a wide array of microphones and analog gear in a great sounding drum room. Sounds were processed through tape machines and other outboard gear to get a certain “je ne sais quoi.” You can experience four microphone characters for the drum sounds in TAPE DRUM: Crisp, Natural, Room, and Warm. Each sample set processed differently and recorded with different microphones. FET and tube condensers, ribbons, tube EQs, transformers, limiters… the whole nine yards. Mix, tune, and choose your drums all right in the TAPE DRUM interface. Then comes the really fun part… choose from 3 tape models, and adjust the Drive, Wow, and Flutter for a sound that’s truly yours. You can even turn off the tape effect for a more clean and pristine approach. Don’t worry, TAPE DRUM is still as vibey as a vintage leg lamp when the tape effect is in bypass. A wide range of sounds were captured from wide open drum sounds, to partially dampened, to fully dead. There is bound to be something in there for every genre, musician, producer, or mixer.
