Summer gardening tips - Easy water recycling!

Our portable water tank sits neatly under our evaporative air conditioning drainage pipe.
A large bucket collects any overflow when the tank is full.
We have a small water pump in the tank with a hose attached.
Each day, we plug the water pump into an power lead and water our garden with the recycled water!
It is very easy and very efficient.
These portable tanks are available from hardware stores and online 🌱☀️🌸

Redback spider in our letter box!
It's summertime in Australia.
And the redback spiders are active.
I've seen countless redback spiders throughout my life. But never been bitten by one.
Although l know of a few people who have.
They love to make their homes in garden sheds, under rocks, logs, under tables and chairs, and various places, including letterboxes.
This is a good reason to keep your yard maintenance up to date.
These are very dangerous little spiders.
If you get biten, you should go straight to the hospital.
I found this little one in our letter box today!
Very beautiful. But definitely not welcome to stay.

We have been super busy changing the flooring throughout our home over the past 2 weeks.
Everything from every room needed to be moved.
It's been an intense project.
But ... we are almost done.
Just the laundry and toilet left to do.
Every room is dust and clutter free now 🎉🎉
Except for our spare room and my art room.
They are still full of boxes of arty things waiting to be sorted and organised.
It's a very good way to start 2025!

So l have an idea for 2025.
12 challenges in 12 months!
I thrive on setting myself challenges.
I make sure to complete each challenge and feel a fun sense of accomplishment.
Each challenge will need to be achievable aswell as it being something that brings me excitement.

Moody hot pre summer day here in Mandurah. And the ocean called us for our first salty swim of the season. It felt amazing 🏖

It's raining and poring here in Perth 🌧🌧🌧 And the garden is loving it! Last summer, we had 7 months with no significant rainfall. With summer 2025 just around the corner, this rain is much appreciated. Who else enjoys some spring/summer rain?

Euclay Sculpture Art Workshop ... what an amazing day!!! We had a couple of Euclay second timers and a heap of Euclay first-timers. There was a lot of excitement as people got familiar with the diversity of this new medium. It's always fun to see everyone's creative voices shine as their artworks come together. We would love to thank everyone who travelled from as far away as Esperance, Peaceful Bay & Torbay, to join us, as well as our wonderful locals. We are thrilled that you enjoyed creating with Euclay Air Dry Clay 🎉
