Our condolences to friends and family of drummer James Kottak. We had the privilege of interviewing James six months ago and had hoped to reconnect with him for our upcoming relaunch as a video podcast and as part of our series on Kingdom Come. It’s heartbreaking news to learn of his passing. James was a monster drummer. It’s a huge loss for the music world. Scorpions

See our posts re: our upcoming chat with of Les Ailes and The Rue - and, if you're in the NYC area this Friday, June 23, you can see her live at 6:00 p.m. at Young Ethel’s, at 506 5th Ave., Park Slope, Brooklyn. It will be an evening of poetry roulette and music! Poets include: Jiwon Choi, Bob Holman, Bill Lessard, Lisa Rogal. All music by . The event will also be aired on Facebook Live and archived on Boog City's YouTube channel.

Everything the poets read will be determined by a spin of a roulette wheel by the reader. The ball will indicate the letter the keyword has to begin with, and then those keywords will be thrown out from the audience (and me).
