Cold DMing... It’s freaking WIERD.
Someone friend requested me on a FB profile I use for my business.
She said she loved the vibe and that’s why they requested me.
I’ve never posted anything on that profile.. So I asked her what her favorite post was.
And then she messaged me with her whole business story instead of actually answering the question.
I TRY to give people a chance. Especially since I’m a business owner, I often have people reach out for help.
But this time, I got annoyed. I said “Lol” and then I questioned her when she asked me “Why so funny?”
I told her what I was feeling. I told her how I asked a question and she didn’t even reply. She just sent me stuff about her business.
And then she blocked me.
I give people chances all the time. And then they do this and it feels icky.
It feels like I’m getting hit on by the sleazy guy at a bar.
At least buy me dinner first 😳
I’m not gonna lie.. I’ve been that girl to message people about my stuff. Cuz that’s how I was taught. That’s what I learned. I was part one of “those” companies where it was all “Hey girl!” And then a whole paragraph about your biz.
I admit, it wasn’t my best moment 😣😣
When I started this business, I knew I wanted better. I knew I wanted a different approach.
I want people to come to MY DMs because what I have is something they WANT.
And after tweaking things over and over, that is what happens now. I don’t need to chase people down praying someone will read my story.
I will forever educate my clients on how to make sales WITHOUT having to do this nonsense.
It’s gross, it’s weird, and literally makes people feel uncomfortable immediately.

When you have a clear brand identity and voice, you speak directly to the heart of your audience, and you will ATTRACT amazing people to your business who WANT to work with you.
They will feel SEEN, they will feel HEARD, and they will feel UNDERSTOOD.
Nothing is better than finding a coach or service provider who makes it feel like their business was made specifically for YOU.
I don't know about you, but that's the goal for me. I want to attract dream clients. I want to build a ready-to-buy audience. This was a huge struggle for me when I believed it's just pretty colors and fonts. But it's so much more than that.

Having Covid and running a business - What I’ve learned.
1. Do the bare minimum or nothing at all - your clients will understand. Sometimes just sitting at my desk for 20 minutes takes all my energy.
2. It won’t all get done and that’s ok. I haven’t posted on IG for a week 😳 And guess what? Everyone has survived.
3. Have the pieces in place and systems together in your business so that when you have to take some time off, you can still earn an income.
Something that has stood out to me the most this week in my business is that if you’ve put the pieces in place, you can make sales even when you’re in bed all day.
I took a year off from my business because I needed to focus on my mental health. I didn’t have those systems in place, so I made no money. I came back April 2022. Just a month and a half ago. I’ve been out all week sick and in bed doing the bare minimum.
And I still made more THIS WEEK than I did in the whole year that I stepped away - hint, I made nothing when I took that break, cuz I had nothing in place to do so.
Do you have the processes in place so that you can make money even when you’re sick in bed all day? Even when you’re sleeping? When you’re sitting at an event? Yes, that has happened to me lol
