Due to popular demand, the deadline for the 21st DGF Food Writing Award has been extended. There’s still time to share your PHILIPPINE INIHAW story.
The DOREEN GAMBOA FERNANDEZ FOOD WRITING AWARD deadline for submissions is extended to March 31, 2024
Subject: INIHAW to Tagalogs, SINUGBA to Cebuanos and Ilonggos, BINOOG to some Ilonggos, INASAL in the Visayas, INEYEW in the Rinconada dialect of Bicol, TINUNO in Ilocos, NINGNANG to Pampangos, PINASU or PASU to Ivatans
For submission: An essay in English of at least 800 words on Filipino grilled food.
Research and reference materials should be cited at the end of the essay. (They will not count towards the essay word count.)
The author must use a pen name for the essay. Each contestant can submit up to two essays under different pen names.
Submit an author's file that indicates your pen name, real name, title of essay, address, telephone, or mobile.
