Hey all!

The tax season has wound down a bit and I’ve been wanting to return to streaming. So I am.

Today at 4 pm pst at twitch.tv/GravyFingerz I’ll be streaming Yakuza 0, a game that belongs to a series that I have grown to love immensely since I started playing them a couple of years ago. I don’t think the games get a lot of spotlight because they’re not on a Nintendo platform, but they deserve to be held in the same high regard that some of the most beloved series are held.

Hey all.

I’m really happy you’ve been with me in the past and to this point. Streaming has been fun, and I’d like to continue, but I need to say this.

It has been hard. I started studying for the IRS special enrollment exam, something I’ve wanted to do for a couple of years as part of career development. I started back in March and I have my exams scheduled, but the longer I’ve been going the harder it has been, and I realize it’s because I’m holding space in my head for things that I’m not able to return to, like having too many pots and not enough back burners.

I need to stop streaming for now. I’d like to return, but I need to finish all three parts of the SEE, and that won’t happen at a minimum till next year. I’m dropping everything: streaming, side projects, coding, art, music, and the music one hurts.

It’s been hard, but I need to tell myself that I’m not going to return to this until I’ve finished what I started.

Thank you for being there for me, you made it the one of the more enjoyable experiences of my life. I hope to return to it.

Good morning all. Normally I would be streaming today, but I am Le Tired. I don’t know if you’re aware, but I have sleep apnea, and even though I use a cpap sometimes I get stuck in bad sleep loops, and this is one of those times. I’ll see you all on Sunday. We live in a society that values open world games over conventional level design, but what if we combined them both and then ignored that and made an open world game to ship with a remaster? It’s been a while hasn’t it. I stopped streaming for a while because of the election, and then lots of stuff happened in such a short time. Then thanksgiving happened, more election shenanigans, Christmas, and then an armed insurrection. We’re less than a week away from the inauguration date and there are threats of more violence.

I will come back and stream, it’s just so hard to do so right now and it’s easier to stick my head in an Assassins Creed Valhalla shaped hole. I’ve actually finished more games in the last two months than I have in the past few years. It’s also the fact that I have a PlayStation 5 and I’m just really enjoying playing last gen and current gen games on my new console.

I’m planning to come back after the inauguration; not right after but maybe a week after. I’m thinking of changing the schedule because 11:30 am my time doesn’t really work for me anymore because I’m trying to fit in daily exercise and the way my mornings are structured, I end up spending time with my partner before during and after breakfast.

I’m just gonna pick up where I left off and play some Age of Calanity, Super Mario Galaxy, and finish Super Mario World. After that, I shall see.

Thank you all for those who support me and watch my streams. I appreciate you, and I have not forgotten you and how fun it is to stream. I just need to a world to calm down a little bit.
