So I took a short social media break & documented my feelings about it. I picked the length of time and method because I felt it was realistic but I needed that. Social media is a big part of my job as a Content Writer at Instagram, YouTube etc, so I can’t take too much time off.

So I decided not to post anything on my feed for 3 days days.
Therefore there wasn't any disappointed for not receiving any engagement with a post or comment.

Social media has enumerable benifits but nothing is healthy in excess amounts.
One thing I am finding is that the quality of our lives have become largely dependent on what we post and how it compares to everyone else in our feed.

Instead of connecting more with my InstaFams and my self I found myself wanting to share things that didn’t really need to be shared, I find myself scrolling and filling time and energy with mindless reels, where I could be focusing my effort towards creating more relatable contents, researching ideas and connecting with my followers.

I always tell myself that I do not have enough time to create more contents, capture meaningful moments through my lenses, brainstorming ideas and etc  yet I always find time to catch up on stories, other lives, events, and other people that have no bearing or corellation to my life.
So I needed the break for
My well being
My mental health
My sanity
My eyes
And to create more relevant content,
to become more connected with my InstaFams .

And after this short break I am back with more
Confidence, more relatable and relevant contents that you have been looking for, more connectedness

2 years 11 months today, that is 35 months of unconditional love, care, smile, and endless laugh and 35 month of motherhood with this big piece of my heart. Soon my Arnik is going to be 3 years young and and I can't wait to see him exploring the world around him.
