If i have to choose a challenging phase of my cycle...
This would be my luteal phase.
Aka Premenstrual phase that usually last about 2 weeks before period as our body prepares for pregnancy.
While everyone went from a long holiday weekends, my family and i just stayed at home.
Rather than going for vacation, we went a whole weekend of cleaning.๐งน ๐งฝ๐.
As you know, most of the time i spent outside, traveling and going to work, 6 days a week.
Rarely got the chance to organize and clean the house.
So instead packing our things, preparing for a vacation and holiday, i grab this possibility to clean and declutter.
Even if my cycle is not that pleasant to work and move with, still i tried to push a bit more and get things done.

Folding and arranging the clothes in the cabinet.

Decluttering unused clothes and things from the cart.

Changing the curtains and packed all the dirty linens inside the laundry's basket.
And so the list goes on.
But what's my point here.
I bet you expect to give me an advice on what habits to prepare before period.
In my case, i go beyond the conventional.
I allowed myself to move more and take more actions.
The goal is to clean and organize.
Most health expert would advice to build a good habit to heal painful period and nothing wrong about it.
In fact i found it practical and helpful for most cases.
Because as women are not supposed to feel exact the same thing every single day.
During the luteal phase, i would feel most a little impatient, less energy unmotivated to move around.
And physical exhaustion that would lead to more sleepier and hungrier.
I would feel most headache, bloating and worst tender breast. So nonwire bra would be great to support those two mountains girls ๐
However, my experience was not heavy and burden, instead my husband are very supportive and understanding.
My expectations for the week are satisfying and accomplished.
Let's become more open and vocal with our experiences to our partner.
Because there is a power in educating about the menstrual cycle.
P.S. i crave more complex carbs in this phase. A purple sweet corn ๐ฝ is so satisfying and yummy.
