HYPERVIRAL. Hammerhead shark chases spotted eagle ray. It happened on the island of Cozumel, in an area known as "El Cielito", which is visited by large numbers of tourists and locals every day, who on this occasion were able to witness an event like few others.

One of the largest predators of the spotted eagle ray (aetobatus narinari) is the great hammerhead shark and there have been reports of sightings of the shark during eagle ray season.

Diving boat saves the life of a foreign diver who was floating in the sea of ​​Cozumel

After several attempts he managed to revive him, managing to perceive very slight heartbeats.

By that time the C5 had already received a report from the captain named Pablo. An ambulance was dispatched from a private clinic on the island to the Allegro hotel, where he was taken off the pier and transferred in critical but stable condition to a private clinic, where he was treated and later relatives of the man could be located.

Coast Guard searches for woman who jumped off Carnival cruise into the Gulf of Mexico

The Carnival Valor vessel was en route to New Orleans from Cozumel, Mexico when a woman jumped into the water from her balcony, Carnival said in a statement.

The US Coast Guard was searching for a passenger that jumped overboard on a Carnival cruise ship into the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday.

An air rescue was underway Wednesday as the ship circled the area where the 32-year-old woman went into the water, 150 miles off the shore of Louisiana, the Coast Guard said.

A Twitter user captured the moments after the woman went overboard and a life preserver was tossed into the water.

“Carnival’s CARE team is providing support to the guest’s husband who was traveling with her,” according to the statement.

One man on board the ship tweeted a video of a life preserver and a flare spewing red smoke trailing behind the vessel’s stern.

The ship had been slated to return to New Orleans on Thursday.

The incident came two months after a woman died in the Pacific Ocean after going overboard on another Carnival ship. The FBI was investigating the incident amid allegations of foul play.

Foreigner has meltdown at the Cozumel airport. In the video you can see a user repeatedly insulting a security employee at the air terminal, members of the Mexican national guard GN had to intervene to remove the person from the place.

Carnival Cruise Line today advised guests and travel agents that it has extended its operational pause in North America through Sept. 30, 2020.

"During this unprecedented pause in our business, we have continued to assess the operating environment and confer with public health, government and industry officials," Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy told booked guests and travel agents in a letter sent today. But she added that following the cruise industry's announcement on Friday that it would voluntarily extend its pause in North America, Carnival Cruise Line is now cancelling all cruises through September 30.

"We have watched with great interest as commerce, travel and personal activities have begun to start back up, and once we do resume service, we will take all necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we bring our ships to in order to maintain public confidence in our business. Nevertheless, we apologize for disrupting your vacation plans and appreciate your patience as we work through these decisions," Duffy said in the letter.

Carnival initially announced a voluntary 30-day pause in operations on March 13, and has now extended that pause three times, reflecting the public health challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently completing the repatriation of nearly 29,000 crew members to more than 100 nations who serve its fleet of 27 ships. As with previous pause announcements, Carnival is giving guests who wish to move their booking to a later date a rebooking offer that combines a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) and either a $300 or $600 Onboard Credit (OBC) that has proven very popular with their guests. Guests, as always, have the option to receive a full refund. The process is fully automated so that guests can submit their preference online and they have until May 31, 2021 to make a selection.

"We appreciate the patience and support of our loyal guests, and recognize how much they want to get back to cruising. When the time is right, our outstanding onboard team will be waiting to welcome them back and give them the great vacation that they deserve," said Duffy.

On Monday morning, Carnival Cruise Line announced that they will resume operations in August.

They specifically said that they will take a measured approach towards bringing sailings back, phasing in some cruises starting in August.

Between now and then, they said that they will continue to identify and implement additional protocols so that guests can be safely welcomed back.

They said that if you have a cruise book through August that has been affected by the cancellations, you or your travel agent will receive an email. Only those impacted will receive an email. Instructions have been sent out on what to do to claim your cancellation offer or refund.

A tourist was attacked in the public areas of the pier "Puerta Maya"
after arguing with a car rental company for an alleged damage caused to a motor scooter that had been rented. The tourist feeling threatened, ran to take refuge and as seen in the video entry to the land under the shelter of the "Puerta Maya" pier.
