Old Rusty German Gas Can - Fuel Can Restoration Videos

Hello again everybody. In this project I am going to restore an Allboy gas can, made in Germany.
This project seemed easy at first but I came to the realization that I was going to spend much more time on it than I expected. Like always it was a really fun project. Only, the longer time that I needed spend on it stressed me out a little bit. I had a scenerio in my head about the way things were going to go before I started the project, if we don’t count some of the differences, I was loyal to my plan we could say.
First, I assembled the product but one of the pins that was holding the cone was loose so I drilled out two of the pins. After degreasing I sandblasted it. As I was sandblasting I saw the number 72 on it. I could say that this gas can was made in 1972, Germany. I guess it was a product of West Germany. I faced many dents after sandblasting. Especially there were holes caused by corrosion under the feet of the gas can. I fixed those holes by brass welding. By doing that, I repaired and created a protection from rusting in the future. I pulled the dents with a stud welder. After, I hammered out the uneven parts and used putty to create a smooth surface. I painted with an undercoat, a base coat paint and finally glossy varnish. I used the original color. I painted the main body blue and the cone part grey. The filter was rusted a little bit even though it was made out of brass. I sandblasted it and cleaned it with brass cleaning solution. It looked awesome after it was finished. I made a new way to assemble the cone part and re-new the pins which was compact and looked better. I drilled two bolt holes on a shaft and fixed two flat head bolts to it that looked from the right era it was made in. I coated these bolts with nickel coating to protect them from corrosion in the future. I think this was my favorite scene. Since the gasket in the cone was hard and brittle, I made a new one. That created a good seal. I used an o-ring with the cone to have a better function. By adding this, I can fill up a car without scratching the body paint. I made a rubber wick for the feet that rested against the main tank when it is closed. It was something that was needed and also it looked good. That idea excited me when it came to my mind. It very much satisifed me when it came to an end. And lastly I made and sticked mini rubber parts under the feet.
I forgot, what do you think about the sticker work I made fort he main body of the gas can? I was going to create that look via paint but there were some problems so I made a sticker to get the same look. It looked really cool. I prefer this look to the old one.

Hello again after a long break. In this Project, I present you the restoration of a Gressel vise, made in Switzerland. This vise was beaten up pretty bad and the Project has been long and rough. Vise’s jaws were especially in bad shape because of aggressive working that has been done on them. There was a broken piece of the body under the one of the jaws too. I have decided to weld and reshape that. Similarly, jaw’s upper part was full of grinding marks so I needed to weld those places too. Even though anvil part of vises are made for light hammering work, I bet this vise was used as an anvil to hammer out cold pieces of steel. Because of all these bad parts, I needed to use the welder a lot in this project. I used milling machine to rough out the welded pieces and in the and I used surface grinder and hand sanded them to finish. Instead of polishing to protect from rust, I used matte stainless steel coating on parts of the vise. It created a cool look in my opinion. Like I have done before, I used hammered green paint on this vise. I didn’t paint the Gressel markings but instead polished it and left the smaller letterings on the vise unpainted and same as the body color. That way I got a plain and beautiful. Because the old jaws were so hard, it would not be easy to repair them which I decided to not use the old jaws and made new ones. Newly made jaws are my favorite part of this project. What was your favorite part of the project? Don’t forget to comment about your favorite part of it. I need to remind that I read and like every each comment. I hope you like this video. I look forward to see your comments about it, please like the video if you enjoyed it. See you in the next project, take care. I have realized I made two mistakes with the subtitles, but I came to the realization after uploading the video so I was not able to change them. First one is "hammerd paint", which should be "hammered paint". Second one is "ekin anvil workhop" which should be "ekin anvil workshop", which you can see more of on Instagram at

Antique C-Clamp Vise Restoratin – Hello Again To Everyone. In This Project, I Restore British Made C-Clamp.

Hello Again To Everyone. In This Project, I Restore British Made C-Clamp.

After Cleaning With Water, I Decided To Clean Rust With Rust Remover. Then I Realised That This C-Clamp Is Forged Steel. I'm Grateful That This Is Forged Steel, Because Nearly All Of The C Clamps Manufactured Today Are Cast Iron. Cast Iron Is Easy To Work With, But It's Dangerous To Work With , It Is Unsafe. When The Shaft Hole Size In The Body Was 7/16(Whitworth), I Enlarged It And Repaıred It With M12(Iso). The Working Handle Of This Product Was Shaking Because It Has Been Used For Very Long Time And Was Broken. Also It Was Short Than Normal. For That, I Left The Handle, The Iconic Part Of This Arm, With It’s Original, And I Made The Shaft Again And Gathered It Together. The Cylinder Part At The End Of The Shaft Was Fixed By Hammer. I Made Thıs Stabilization By Using A Cut Ring Instead Of Hammering. After Leveling The Differences In The Inside Of The Cylinder, I Blacked With Cold Bluing. But I Let The Outer Keep Bright. Fınally, After I Decided To Paintıng The Product Black, I Decided To Make A Meine Mechaniker Label In Brass, Due To The There Was No Logo Or Writing On The Product. I Made This Label Wıth A Small And Laser To Be Aesthetic. Brass Label Copper Rivet Was A Great Combination.

I Hope You Like It. If You Liked It, I Can't Wait To See Your Likes And Comments. See You At The Next Project. Stay Healthy.

Greetings Y’all after a long break, I ve not been around for a quiet some time due to some health issues, please accept my apologies. In this project ,I ve restored a Russian empire made axe. Initially the axe weight 1650 gr by the time I ve finished the project , it came down to 1500gr. I decided to sanblasted first. In order to make it mirror polished ,I had to file it by electric equipments and by hand. I lasered the emblem and the date which was faded in the first place to the same spot and I enlarged the emblem a bit.Big thanks to for assisting me with the laser work. Also thanks to OldHand assisting me with sharpening the axe. I thought it be good idea to use padouk for the handle since it is used to make musical instruments because the echoing sound of the axe seemed to me as it comes from an instrument. I fitted the geometrical parts of the axe into the handle so it has gained an aesthetical look. I had planned 70 or 80 cm for the handle however I figured 75 cm would be better during the process. I was assisted by for the leather accessories, many thanks to him. I did not want to have a leather case only, I also wanted to have a leather shoulder strap so I can get around with it in the woods. I d thought it d be a short project but it took 30 days in order for me to complete all the process. All of my efforts worthed at the end since the final product looks pretty cool. I hope you like this project of mine as well, if you do like please do not forget to click the like button and share your comments, I can not wait to read them. See you at my next project, Warm Regards.
