According to the archaeological department of the University of Ghana Legon, excavations and discoveries of bones and snail shells in a cave in Ghana provide evidence that people inhabited the area around 12,500 years ago. The structure of the cave provides insights into their way of life. Notably, their heads were larger in proportion to their hands, suggesting a greater reliance on manual labor. In contrast, in modern times, we tend to use our brains more, resulting in our heads being smaller in relation to our hands. The inhabitants of the cave primarily consumed fruits, snails, meat, and other food sources. Although the British initially discovered the cave in Kwahu Abetifi in 1940 and recognized human habitation, they were unable to determine the exact time span of their presence. Fortunately, modern technology has shed light on this aspect.

Ghana's political landscape is heating up as the country prepares for the 2024 national elections. The two main political parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), are already gearing up for what promises to be a fiercely contested election. As the parties launch their campaigns, they have rolled out slogans that are meant to rally their supporters and galvanize their base.

One of the slogans that have gained traction in recent times is "Break The Eight," which is the catchphrase of the NPP. The NPP is determined to break the record of no government ruling for more than eight years in Ghana. This means that they will need to win the 2024 elections and serve another four years in power to achieve this feat. The slogan has become a rallying cry for NPP supporters who are determined to make history and cement their party's place in Ghana's political history.

On the other hand, the NDC's slogan is "He is Coming Back," which is a reference to their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama. Mahama was the president of Ghana from 2012 to 2017, and he is seeking to come back to power in 2024. He has won his party's flagbearer position, and he is now the face of the NDC's campaign. The slogan has gained popularity among NDC supporters who believe that Mahama is the best candidate to lead Ghana to a better future.

As we wait for the NPP to elect their flagbearer, the political atmosphere in Ghana is charged with excitement and anticipation. The two parties are gearing up for a fierce contest, and their slogans are just a small indication of what is to come. Both parties are confident of their chances, and they are pulling out all the stops to win the hearts and minds of Ghanaian voters.

It is important to note that while slogans are an essential part of any political campaign, they are not the only factor that determines the outcome of an election. The parties will need to present a clear and compelling vision for Ghana's future and convince voters that they are the best candidates to lead the country. The election will be won or lost based on the party's policies, track record, and ability to mobilize their supporters to turn out and vote.

In conclusion, the 2024 elections in Ghana promise to be a highly contested affair, with both the NPP and the NDC pulling out all the stops to win. The slogans of "Break The Eight" and "He is Coming Back" are just a small part of the campaign, and the parties will need to present a clear and compelling vision for Ghana's future if they are to emerge victorious. It will be interesting to see how events unfold as the parties battle it out for supremacy in what promises to be a historic election.
