Chronic trauma survivors often have trouble putting words to their emotions, and even with accurately identifying those emotions within themselves. They may have a bodily reaction, but not be able to understand its meaning. Without being able to identify the emotion, you cannot manage it and be healthy. If you struggle with this, "emotional mapping" is a powerful tool for you and your recovery.
