The law protects people from places where dangerous drugs may be available or used.

According to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, a drug den, dive or resort is defined as "a place where any dangerous drug and/or controlled precursor and essential chemical is administered, delivered, stored for illegal purposes, distributed, sold or used in any form."

Section 6 Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 imposes a penalty of imprisonment from 12 years and one (1) day to 20 years and a fine ranging from One hundred thousand pesos (P100,000.00) to Five hundred thousand pesos (P500,000.00) against any person or group of persons who shall maintain a den, dive, or resort where any controlled precursor and essential chemical is used or sold in any form.

DepEd, partners convene to promote 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

QUEZON CITY, November 21, 2022 - Under Presidential Proclamation No. 1667, s. 2008, the Climate Change Consciousness (CCC) Week is held annually every November 19th to 25th to increase the awareness of Filipinos on the worsening effects of climate change, and to secure the collaboration of private and public sectors at all levels.

Climate Change Commission organized tree-planting and growing activity at the La Mesa Nature Reserve, Quezon City last 19 November 2022 to officially start the CCC week through the planting of 200 Narra, Dao, and Sablot seedlings with partner agencies and organizations, including indigenous peoples and the youth.

The student leaders specifically the Supreme Student Government (SSG) and Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) from Lagro National High School participated in the remarkable activity.

The activity highlights this year’s theme, “Sama-samang Tumutugon sa Hamon ng Nagbabagong Klima,” on the call to work together as one nation and society to further develop and improve the country’s greenhouse gas sinks and reservoirs through nature-based solutions.
