Hi gamers! We are excited to see you this upcoming November! We will be posting about many exciting events we have coming soon! One thing we loved during the last convention was all the folks enjoying our boardgame area and we want to continue to expand and improve that. To do that we are hoping to expand our board game library. We are also looking for folks who may be interested in running some board games as set events, separate of the open board gaming library.

Last week we highlighted the Isabella County Commission on Aging our host and this week we want to give a shout out to Extra Life and our friends over at the Hurley Children's Miracle Network! Part of the reason we have the convention in November is in honor of our first attempt to raise money for Extra Life. It was sometime just after the pandemic and we were doing our regular podcast at the time. We had heard of Extra Life from a Twitch streamer friend of ours and wanted to give it a shot. We decided to do a 24 hour build and paint of a Warhammer 40k starter armies! It was quite the task but we were mostly successful (one of us fell asleep painting) and raised around $500.00 directly given to the charity by those listening! There are many stories of children being impacted by the Miracle Network and we love helping where we can.

We hope to see you come out in support of these great charities and for some awesome games this November 1st-3rd 2024!

Game on with Extra Life, a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Rally with our community of gamers to play games and raise funds that help kids in local communities across the U.S. and Canada.

Hello again! Here at Mid Mitten Gaming we are often asked why we selected the Isabella County Commission on Aging and Extra Life to Hurley Children's Miracle Network as our partner non profits to raise money for. The answer is simple both of these have had an impact on us personally and our communities! To start I wanted to showcase the Isabella County Commission on Aging where our location is held. We first learned about them while volunteering with another organization. They had a group of us go out and help an elderly gentleman who couldn't maintain his lawncare anymore but was still able to stay home alone. The pain of the yardwork was just too difficult to deal with for his aging body. We cleaned and raked his yard for hours and it was a great experience. The man was super grateful and so were we for the opportunity. Impacts like this are the reason we love supporting this great organization. They do incredible things for not just the elderly but also for the community.

Today is the first day of Adepticon where we will be playing some games and talking to some great people. Today also starts our post for the upcoming 2024 convention! If your new or existing to MMGC we welcome you! This journey started in 2020 where a group of tabletop gamers just wanted to use their hobby to give back to the community. In 2022 we launched our first con and in 2023 we had our second convention. This has been an amazing journey and we are excited for another year! We are a small team but growing so we do not possess the resources of larger conventions yet. That being said one of our major goals of 2023 was to get official 501c3 status. This would allow us to have greater community impact and help gather larger donations for our target charities. So we wanted to announce that as of 2023 we have been officially recognized as a 501c3! We are so excited and hope to do even more community based events and drives in the future. For 2024 we plan to focus on the convention and use our status to further our communities.

We have some news coming soon about Mid Mitten Con this year but while you wait you can check out Battlefields 2024 put on by our friends at Pro or Con on March 15th in Livonia. More info in the link below. This is a great event for miniature gaming if you're in the area!

This year we will be offering a Paint and Take session. Brushes, tools and paints will be available. Figure cost will range from $2 to $20. You keep the figure you purchase and paint. Start time will be 10 am and will be running during the con.

Hello all! We are super excited for this weekend. In case its your first time coming we wanted to say again that we are a convention whose focus is the community. We love tabletop gaming and we wanted to give back. Last year we gave both to the Isabella County Commission on Aging (our gracious host) and Extra Life: Hurley Children's Miracle Network. We aim to the same this year! All the proceeds you spend at the con go direct to these charities.

With that here are the registration times. You can still register day of but remember if you register early it is easier for us to get your badge set up and streamline your check in process.

Friday- Registration opens at 5pm.

Saturday- Registration opens at 8 am.

Sunday Registration opens at 8 am (Don't forget about the time change)

If you are registering the day of and have not pre registered we will have you sign up on our table.top events page with a QR code and provide you with your badge at that time.

There will be open but limited tablespace available all through the weekend! We have been talking about some amazing games the last couple of weeks and still have more to talk about! That being said we wanted to remind everyone that this year specifically for sign ups we are trying to move towards a online registration format. What this will do is make sure our amazing GM's know who is coming and lets you look through the awesome events that will be present. In order to do this we are asking you to sign up early online through our web link at tabletop.events which will be linked below and is linked on our previous post. Its our first time using them but they come highly recommended by other great conventions like Spartacon Gaming Convention and even Grandcon! For security we are not doing cash sign ups at the con this year.
