Colourful food makes me happy!

Research has shown that different colours set the mood for us to feel happy, energetic and relaxed.

Also, our brains have evolved to associate the flavours of sweet, salty, sour and bitter with colours, which allows us to taste with our eyes.

It has been proven that our perception of how something will taste is influenced by the colour of the food. Red is mostly perceived as sweet, orange and yellow are perceived as tasting mildly sweet, green is associated with tart or sour taste, purple is expected to taste bitter and white is often associated with tasting salty.

Vibrantly coloured fruits and veggies are not just visually appealing, but they are also indicators of abundant protective nutrients. So, eat the rainbow and stay healthy 🌈
