Hi Maked Up Stories listener, I'd love your thoughts on https://storybird.ai/ , my new website which lets kids get featured in stories created by AI. I've published about 50 stories so far and kids seem to like it. I'm open to any feedback / advice / thoughts you have.

The AI-generated stories are a hit with kids, including my own. I want to try a new experiment to see if it helps grow the audience. Hi there, I hope your kids are enjoying the new Maked Up Stories episodes. Thanks for all the positive feedback.

I'm curious if you would be interested in an app where your kid can say "I want a story about X, Y, and Z" and then voila, a Maked Up Stories episode will be created in about two minutes. The whole thing uses artificial intelligence. I'm not actually telling the stories - it's a clone of my voice speaking. I'm not actually making up the stories either - it's a deep learning algorithm.

If your kid wants a story, please ask them to send a question to Maked Up Stories instead.

Something like, "Hi, my name is X, I am Y years old, and I live in Z. My question is ___"

Email a high quality audio file with a transcript to [email protected]. Questions should be about 15 seconds long.

Kids can now send questions to Maked Up Stories.

Instructions:
Step 1. Record something like the following "Hello, my name is X, I live in Y, and my question is Z". Keep the question brief and the audio quality high.
Step 2. Write out the question and email it, along with the audio file, to [email protected].

Kids can also ask Jonah and I to play in a playground (Jonah's idea) and we'll post a video of us playing on Facebook.

Is your kid an aspiring artist? We'd love to share their art with our listeners! Every episode of Maked Up needs a thumbnail that reflects the content of that story, and we'd much rather use this space to showcase our listeners' wonderful imaginations than the stock images we currently use.

To submit an illustration, please scan (preferred) or snap a clear photo of your child's art and sent it to [email protected] with the title "Art for (the name of the episode your child illustrated)." Art will be shared here on our page, on Twitter, and as an episode thumbnail on podcasting apps like Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and Spotify. If you would like us to share your child's first name, age and city please include that information in your email.

We can only use one illustration for each episode thumbnail, but all submissions will be proudly displayed here and on Twitter. If your child is very attached to seeing their illustration used as a thumbnail, please encourage them to illustrate one of the older episodes.

HOW TO REQUEST A STORY.

Please follow the following steps:

Step 1. Record an audio file where your kid says something like "My name is X, I am Y years old, and I live in Z. I would like a story about A, B, and C."

Step 2 [Optional]: Record a second audio file, in which your kid says "Welcome to Maked Up Stories, my name is X. Maked Up Stories is the best podcast ever. Tell your friends."

Step 3. Email the audio, as well as a written version of the story request, to [email protected]. Please also include your child's gender in the email, even if it is obvious. I've made mistakes in stories before.

The audio should be clear, no more than about 30 seconds long, and saved in an audio-only format like M4A. I don't edit the audio, so please pay attention to the details.

Other tips.
- Avoid superhero requests and characters I may not know.
- If possible, try for more variation than "unicorns, fairies, mermaids." It's okay to include one or two, but I get a lot of these requests and prefer to vary the stories a bit.
- Stick to 30 seconds.

What if my kid doesn't have a birthday coming up?

- Your kid can still record an intro or outro message and we will try and play it. The intro message should say ""Welcome to Maked Up Stories, my name is X. Maked Up Stories is the best podcast ever. Tell your friends." and the outro should say "Thanks for listening to Maked Up Stories, the best podcast ever. Tell your friends."
- Your kid can send us some art for a Facebook post.
