Now the weather has turned very wintery, you might be considering lighting your wood burning stove.

Did you know that most of Darlington is covered by a smoke free area which means there are restrictions on the types of fuel you can burn?

Burning the wrong type of fuel can harm your health and cause a nuisance to your neighbours.

In YARM ROAD, EAGLESCLIFFE, the Witham Avenue Stand A and B bus stops will be suspended between 0930 and 1530 on Thursday 9 January 2025. All the roads affected by the rolling closure can be found at https://www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk/roads-and.../roadworks
We are also asking residents not to park on the route on race day. If necessary, vehicles may be removed. Yellow signage will be placed where parking is restricted along with yellow “no waiting” cones in the week leading up to the race.
The road closures might also cause disruptions with the bus services. We advise residents to check with bus providers before traveling on this day.
