What do you think about Genshin Impact?
- It's a very good game. I think it's very fun to play and easy to get into. combat feels really nice and rewarding specially if you see high numbers appears on your screen. But the thing that mostly made me stay in this game is the Story and lore. It's very interesting. It's like a very good anime with many interesting twist and turns. Even the a side quests most of the times have depth. Then there's the characters and the world. The characters in this game are pretty much alive, unique and interesting in their own way. I bet you can easily find a character in this game that you'll love. The world of Teyvat is also very beautiful. Sometimes I just spent hours walking around and enjoying the scenery and occasionally destroying monsters along the way. Also the timing of its release was very on point. Since last year the real world just stop. Teyvat was to only place to go where I can explore the outside freely. Well I think this game became a part of my life. since logging on to this game is a part of my daily routine now.
What about Genshin Impact being a Gacha game?
- I'm used to it by now. since most of the games I played nowadays have these mechanics. But for a gacha game Genshin Impact feels like a AAA. One, It's a different breed of gacha game and it's the first of it's kind. Also it's probably the best gacha game that I ever played to date. But for players who are new to this kinds of games it's very Dangerous and Expensive. Cause There is a guaranteed way to get all the characters and make the game more fun. That is to whip out that card and swipe it. I won't talk about the pity system which helps the players a lot. But at the end of the day it's still a cash grab predatory system.
What do you think about MiHoYo?
- Hmm MiHoYo is a mixed bag. There are times that they do things really great and there are many times they do things that pi**ed the player base. MiHoyo's Dev team specially their Game Devs and Art Designers are amazing. They are the one's reponsible in making my favorite parts of this game. Also HoyoMix and Yupeng Chen man these guys are godly when it comes to the music on this game. But I think there might be something going on with some of their teams (specifically the people who has to approve the final product before they release it on the game). Cause recently specially in Inazuma have been getting products that have issues(can be fixed but they ignore it). There are also many issues on the game that MiHoYo seemed to ignore. Where in a game development standpoint those things should be address. I don't know maybe this is part of their marketing ploy or whatever. What I really don't like about MiHoYo is they like to keep quiet and not address things that needed to be address. So yeah I think the Game Devs are very passionate and the company's PR? Seriously lacks communication to the player base. At least that's what I feel.
What do you think about The Game's Community?
- Toxic. That game's community is by far one of the most toxic community there is lol. each and every one wanted to best each other even if this game is PVE. I don't get it at all. Also people will always find a way to hate your favorite character (I know even I have been toxic when it comes to this). Then there's White Knights
and Entitled haters (I might be one of them lol). But I suggest avoid the toxic communities/groups if you can.
Is it worth to spend money on this game?
- For me No its not. even the small amount of money that I put on this games doesn't really feel worth it. Mainly because even if I didn't spend that amount I would still have all the characters I have right now. maybe less weapons. But you get the point. Cause most of the characters I used on this game are not even limited ones. Even the 7 free characters on this game can clear every content of properly built (Yes even The hardest content. Not full stars of course). What I'm saying is that you can literally play this game for free and enjoy it. That is if you can resist the gacha or if you're happy with getting what it is the game has given to you.
Are you planning to continue this game?
- As I have said this game has become part of my life now. I'm also addicted and in love to it. I also want to see the story till the end. so Yes.
Will you recommend the Game?
- Yes Absolutely and No Absolutely not. YES, cause as I have said it's a really beautiful game. There is more to love in this game than to hate. Any gamers who like RPGs and anime in general will definitely love this game. Also if you like exploring and sight seeing you will love this game. Plus it's a free game game that you can play in almost every platform. NO, If you are a person who likes to have them all. Oh boy avoid this game. Cause you might spend a fortune on this game. Also if you don't like grinding for progress? This game is not for you. Cause most of the game content is grinding to get stronger. Just to finish a 30 min or less challenge.
What do you think needs Improvement to the game?
- I already posted this on my previous post. Check it out it should be right below this one. But my main concern is what's next? As a player who reached the end game and cleared the hardest content of the game. There's not much left to do than slow-paced events. There's no really need to grind anymore for me at least. Cause I think all the characters that I care about are more or less good enough. Add more endgame content maybe? like a coop raid? that would be fun. I know that "its a gacha game these things happen". Yes it happens but for a game like Genshin you can't really say that argument. Cause let's face it This is a AAA title with a gacha mechanic. Also I think more communication with the players will be nice. Cause MiHoYo's silence is eerily annoying when it comes to issues.
PS: This is all based on my perspective and what I like and don't like about the game during my 1yr stay. I try the game there's nothing to lose really. It's free if you don't like it delete it.
Edit: Happy Anniversary Genhsin Impact! almost forgot lol >_<
