Tensions in the Persian Gulf have spiked recently after the US complained of "harassment" by Iranian gunboats sailing in close proximity with US warships, which prompted a series of mutual threats from both Washingon and Tehran.

Russia is concerned by the US threats to Iran amid tensions in the Persian Gulf and is calling on both sides to exercise restraint, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Saturday.

Kabul declines Islamabad’s demand of ISIS leader handover:
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement the ISIS khorassan chapter leader, Abdullah Orakzai, also known as Aslam Farooqi, a Pakistani-origin suspected militant, is wanted for a number of gruesome terrorist attacks and would be tried in line with laws in Afghanistan.

"Afghanistan does not discriminate between terrorists, it takes equal legal actions against all and is committed to all anti-terrorism commitments," it said.

On Thursday, Islamabad summoned the Afghan ambassador to the Foreign Ministry and said that since Farooqi was involved in anti-Pakistan activities in Afghanistan, he should be handed over to Pakistan for further investigations.

Adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei Dies of Coronavirus

Expediency Council member Mohammad Mirmohammadi died at a Tehran hospital of the virus, state radio said. He was 71.

The council advises Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as settles disputes between the supreme leader and parliament.

His death comes as other top officials have contracted the virus in Iran, which has the highest death toll in the world after China, the epicenter of the outbreak.

Syria update 📰 :
Here is what is happening in Idlib.
- Rebel forces backed by Turkey 🇹🇷 captured Saraqib, a strategic town in Idlib. Cutting the Assad and Russian 🇷🇺
supply line going through the M4-M5 highways.

- They expelled Russia forces and Assad regime militias from it.

- Syrian Arab army forces with the help of Russia launched airstrikes on Saraqib and tries to recapture the town, At least 33 Turkish soldiers have died in a Syrian government air strikes.

- Post-Air raids Turkish government:announced that "All ground and air elements of the Assad regime are now a target and enemy for the Republic of Turkey."
- In Retaliation Turkish army launched multiple drone & guided artillery strikes 🚀 against SAA and pro-Assad Militias.

As per Turkish Defense Minister: Turkey destroyed 5 Syrian military helicopter, 23 tanks, 23 howitzers, two air defense systems (SA-17, SA-22) and “neutralized” 309 Syrian regime soldiers.
Stats not confirmed by an independent sources but multiple attacks were launched on SAA armour and artillery, dozens were killed but exact number not confirmed..

Indian 🇮🇳 Chief of Army staff General MM Naravane, visited HQ of Kashmir Based Chinar Corps, over two days to review the prevailing security situation. The COAS accompanied by the Northern Army Commander, visited the formations and units deployed along the Line of Control.
Army Chief General MM Naravane reviewed the operational preparedness and prevailing security situation. He also interacted with the troops and lauded their morale.
