Day 70: How My Community Has Impacted My Journey ✨️

Yesterday, I talked about how the online business owners' community I belong to has affected me. 😊

Visiting the Mayan temples today reminded me of how a community can build and create something beautiful when its members come together, set aside their differences, and work toward a common goal. ❤️

Day 69: The Importance of a supportive community.✨️

The community is what attracted me to this business. ❤️

Prior to starting my online business in 2020, I had my share of skepticism. I didn't know a thing about the online business world, and my husband was more than skeptical about the whole thing. Although I had a gut feeling this was what I had been looking for, I still had some doubts.🤔

But when I was introduced to the community, when I felt their warm welcome and their support, it's like a weight was lifted off. I could now do my due diligence, knowing so many people from around the 🌏 have taken the same steps I was taking.

In this giant community (of now 200K members...) there are also "pockets of communities:" there's a beautiful community of nurses, a community of Carribean folks, a community of francophones, of people living in Montreal like me, and so many more. It's beautiful to connect with so many people on so many levels.

I'm grateful to have found a herd of people like me, who want more in life than the regular 9 to 5, or the 4 weeks vacations per year, or the small pay increase (if any‼️).

I'm grateful of go-getters who will stop at nothing and will continue to thrive and support new online business owners❤️

Day 67: My Testimonial ✨️

There's no better day than today to share pieces of my testimonial with this online business.❤️

I started my online business journey end of 2020, right after my first mat leave ended. I was desperate to find a way to stay home with my son, as I wanted to have enough time to instill good values, make memories and get more quality time with him.

Going back to my previous work meant to slash all this things in two, since would would take so much time/energy away from home.

I'm grateful for this online business and the life it allows me to have.

A life ago as a floor nurse, I would have needed to ask my supervisor for vacations, then wait for them to get approved. And if they were not or if I had not enough seniority...well!

This is why I love being more in control of my time. I was able to leave for Mexico for a week "last minute" and didn't need the approval of a single soul since I'm an online business owner and a self-employed nurse/health coach.

I love everything I do, including the part-time nursing and health coaching...but they don't give me what my online business does: passive income. In nursing of health coaching, if I'm not there, there's no income. In contrast, I know some nice online business checks are waiting for me home.🙏🏾

Day 66: Mentoring and supporting others💕

My online business has blessed me with sisters from all around the globe, and it is a privilege to mentor them.🙏🏾

Mentoring to me means being able to help someone from point A to Z, while helping them avoid mistakes I may have done while on my own journey to point Z. But, mentoring is not about showcasing my expertise, since we're individuals with different backgrounds and different strengths, I have the blessing to learn from my mentees as well.

Mentoring also means encouraging mentees when they feel discouraged (which can happen when building a legitimate business), helping them in other spheres as well such as motherhood, spiritual needs, etc.

Sometimes, mentoring also means giving space. I'm not pushy and will never be. I respect boundaries and appreciate that life is full of seasons, some busier than others. It's never about me. It's about what my mentees need the most. Sometimes, it's a gentle push, sometimes, it's space. Regardless, I will always be here with open arms, to pick up where we left off😊

So all in all, mentoring is a blessing. To witness and participate in someone's growth in a certain area of their life is truly a rewarding and humbling experience.🙏🏾

Been MIA for a short while...but for a good reason😜🛩

Impromptu vacations in Mexico.
First one with two kids, so time management re: posting has been🤯😅

But not only that...
I wanted to enjoy the first few days w/o social media. To soak completely into this little adventure and make memories💙
