🚨I’m excited to officially announce that I’m RUNNING FOR CONGRESS! 🇺🇸
I’m seeking the open seat in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.
I’m running for three reasons.
1. I’m tired of watching my hardworking friends and neighbors struggle with housing and food insecurity in the face of rising inflation… left with nothing more than HOPE for better days ahead. Hope isn’t a solution.
2. I’m tired of Maryland’s 6th Congressional district and districts like ours across the nation being treated as an afterthought in Washington. Our small businesses help fuel our local economy and are vital to our sustainability and growth. Yet, many of our small business owners have told me that they can only hope our government leaders will care enough to help them keep their doors open. Hope isn’t a solution.
3. I’m tired of watching women, people of color, and people with disabilities struggle to access quality healthcare and resources. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted racial and economic health disparities that we have long hoped would be resolved but have only worsened with time. Hope isn’t a solution.
So, I’m putting my career on hold to take these fights straight to Congress and turn hope into ACTION for the people of the 6th district and for our friends who are struggling across the nation.
This campaign is special for a number of reasons, but I’m particularly excited about working with each of you to make history. Winning would not only mean sending a woman from Maryland back to Congress for the first time since 2017, but it could also mean sending the FIRST person of color to EVER represent our wonderfully diverse district.
