Congratulations to the Euclid Police Department that is one of the 12 winners in the COPS Annual Photo Contest!

Picture Description: Euclid Police Officers Hounshell and Moore offer lemonade to residents who stopped by the EPD lemonade stand this summer at Harmony Park.

This photo reflects EPD’s positive community engagement: Officers Hounshell (center) and Moore (right) are key members of the Community Response Unit, tasked with addressing high-priority areas in Euclid that are impacted by illegal fi****ms and narcotics activity. In addition to their enforcement duties, they also serve as members of the Community Policing Unit, focusing on fostering positive relationships with residents. This summer, Officers Hounshell and Moore took the initiative to connect with residents in one such area, particularly engaging with children, to build trust and rapport. Their message to the community was simple: "Don't be afraid, come grab some lemonade."
