Hello everyone,

In case you were wondering, issue one of Toucan Salsa p r e s s is in the works. Apologies for a lack of updates as of late but yes this book is happening and coming to paperback fruition as soon as possible. Please be patient. Toucans require much precision! The most even!

Just trying to make this book the best that it can be and with all of the content that has been selected it is definitely a good one and worth the wait.

I will try to update on progress more often.

It’s the last day to submit to the debut issue (though I may extend it). It all depends on you! Looking forward to your submissions. Guidelines are in the previous post.

Submissions are still open for the debut issue of Toucan Salsa Press until tomorrow, October 31st at midnight.

Poetry: 3 to 7 poems (no more than 10 pages)

Fiction: 1 to 3 pieces (750 to 2000 words max.)

Art and Photography: 3 to 10 pieces (any size, any style, any medium, any color)

There is no theme, I’m just looking for good writing that expresses who you are/your brand/your story/your style.

Please submit poetry and fiction in .doc file format.
For art please submit in an easily accessible file format as well.

How’s everyone doing out there in the world? Have anything you’re dying to get published? Give it a shot at Toucan Salsa p r e s s.

The debut issue, which may include you as well as many others, should be released around December/January. It will be in printed format.

No Theme!

But if you have a selection of work that all fits one mini-theme of your choosing, that’d be neat. Go ahead and submit it. Any piece of writing or art on any subject is also thoroughly enjoyed.

Submission deadline October 31st 2019.

Bardleby the fictional literary Toucan here, and I would like to announce the flight of a new poetry, fiction, and art zine soon to be at your service:

TOUCAN SALSA p r e s s !!!

It has been several years since The Editor has taken on a project like this and she decided now is the time to start a new journey. She hopes that her reinvigorated energy paired with what she learned from her former experience as an editor/publisher (Bank-Heavy Press) will allow her to expand the horizons with Toucan Salsa.

It really ruffles my feathers and my Shakespeare-esque collared frill with joy to be able to say the following:
