Tip: Check the phase on your kick and 808 before applying any EQ, sidechain, or compression to save headaches down the road.

This blends the two together to get the full sound of the kick and full sound of the 808.

When these two are out of phase, certain frequencies cancel out leaving silence.

This is why your kick may sound dull once you add the 808. Had to learn the hard way 🤦🏿‍♂️
