Grassroots organisations Speak Up Now and Maleny Neighbourhood Centre have gained Sunshine Coast Council funding to educate hairdressers on how to help clients who suffer from domestic abuse.

The not-for-profit groups secured more than $7500 to pay for hairdressers in the Maleny and Blackall Range to receive training from online teaching service Hairdressers with Hearts.
