"A picture is worth a thousand words"
O encanto do design nunca morre, não é colegas? E como dizia Confucio, "uma imagem vale mais do que mil palavras".
Hello dear teachers!
These are some of my favorite Storytelling activities. I hope they're new to you.
Have a great weekend.
Hello dear teachers!
These are some of my favorite Storytelling activities. I'm glad to share them with you, and I hope they're new to you.
Have a great weekend!
How do you develop your students' passion for learning?
Do you know them well? What about their interests, do you consider them when designing your lesson plans?
What do you do to make learning meaningful?
One of our duties as language teachers is to maximize learning opportunities for our learners. But how do we do that?
Learner involvement and teacher questioning are two aspects of classroom management that will have an impact on the generation of learning opportunities inside the classroom.
Teachers should create a positive environment necessary for learning to take place, and provide meaningful learner involvement.
Another possibility is to ask the right type of questions that will generate meaningful interaction. Ask learners' opinions or interpretation, make open-ended questions.
Can you share with us how do you maximize learning opportunities for your students?
Happy Valentine's Day!❤️❤️
This holiday is a great time for teachers and students to be creative and share how much they care for others.
As I appreciate and care for you teachers, I've decided to share another Valentine's activity.
This is a cross curricular activity because it combines English + Science. Watch the video to get students learning about their hearts!
Go to YouTube on the Happy Learning English channel to show "The Human heart: Amazing Fun Facts video". Exploit the video according to your group proficiency level.
If you like this idea share it with your colleagues.
Are you a preschool teacher? If you are, check these YouTube channels: Word World and National Geographic Kids.
There are some sweet and short videos that will captivate your students attention.
What are your favorite YouTube channels for kids?
Hello teachers!
As you know, there are many activities for the first day of class, such as getting to know each other, games, review, needs analysis, a talk about procedures and materials etc..
In order to create rapport and a positive learning environment, this is one of the activities I'll try with my students at the beginning of the class, because I want them to know how much I care about their learning and success.
What do you think about it?
Have a nice week and a great class tomorrow!
Hello teachers!
Plan for the learners you have in your class is another principle we should follow to get students hooked into our tasks.
Designing for our students is time consuming, but if you consider these questions when planning, your work will be much easier and students will appreciate a lot!
A new year gives us time to reflect on the past and set our hopes for the days ahead.
Whatever the new year brings, I hope we all achieve our goals!
Happy 2022!
Hello everyone! Have a great week!
Tomorrow will be the last day at school this year. I'm dying for a break!
Vacations mean gentleness for ourselves, time to rest, to meet new people, new places, and new options!
What about you, teachers, are you almost on vacation too?
Can you identify me in the canoe? 😂🚣♀️🛶
Hi teachers!
Do you like using gifs as I do?
I love using them in my activities and slides presentations! So, find here 2 ideas of free sites to download Gifs, and also two nice activities.
Giphy is another site I use as well.
Which sites do you use?
Share and save if you like them.
Hello teachers!
As you know, there are many methods we can use to teach languages. ESA is one of them.
It stands for engage, study, and activate, its stages are similar to PPP, and it gives teacher's the flexibility to conduct a classroom in an organized and productive way.
Have you ever used it?
Hello everyone!
Today's post is about teaching Idioms!
Do you like teaching idioms?
They're fun to teach and learn, and they're very culture specific, so that's why we should not spend too much time teaching idioms that are not common.
Find some ideas to help you teach idioms to your ESL students, and share with us a different way of teaching these expressions.

Hello everyone!
How do you check understanding of a new language? Imagino que usem técnicas diferentes.
Perguntas como "Do you understand?" e "Is it clear?" não são suficientes para sabermos se eles compreenderam "the new language" ou não.
As CCQs são ótimas para alcançarmos esse objetivo.
Me contem aqui, Do you CCQ in your classes?

Hello dearests!
Quem nunca trabalhou com projetos na escola? Toda a preparação de um projeto não é uma tarefa muito fácil. Por isso, pensei em trazer algumas informações sobre PBL (Project Based Learning) esta semana.
There are some important features of PBL that we should highlight:
Autonomy: students can choose their roles and they can decide the content of the project, which resources to use, and who to ask for help.
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL): students learn all kinds of subjects through English, such as history, science, geography, etc.
Motivating: the work the students are producing depends on their individual involvement, ideas and creativity.
Responsibility: students have to assume responsibility for their roles, and what they are expected to do.
Sharing: project work encourages the students to share information, resources and ideas.
