🔷 Veteran investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala passed away on Sunday morning. The investor with a Midas touch had been dubbed “India’s Warren Buffet."
🔷 According to sources, the investor was brought to the Candy Breach Hospital at 6:45 AM in the morning and was declared dead. He was suffering from multiple health issues including kidney ailments and had been discharged from the hospital a few weeks ago, they said.
🔷 Both a trader and a chartered accountant, and one of the richest men in the country, he was last seen in public at Akasa Air’s launch.
🔷 Jhunjhunwala was also chairman of Hungama Media and Aptech, as well as a director of Viceroy Hotels, Concord Biotech, Provogue India, and Geojit Financial Services.

❤️ Tesla Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk sold $6.9 billion worth of shares in the electric vehicle maker, tweeting it was important to avoid an emergency sale of Tesla stock amid a legal showdown with Twitter over a $44 billion takeover deal.

❤️ Musk, the world's richest person, had said in April that there were "no further TSLA sales planned" - after he sold $8.5 billion worth of shares in the company back then.

❤️ But legal experts have suggested that if Musk loses his battle against Twitter and is forced to complete the acquisition or pay a stiff penalty, he could conceivably have to sell more Tesla shares.

🔷 Adani Transmission, the power transmission company of Gautam Adani Group company, surpassed the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm ITC in market capitalisation (m-cap) ranking as the stock hit a new high on the BSE in Wednesday's intra-day trade.
🔷 With a market cap of Rs 3.88 trillion, Adani Transmission stood at 12th position in the overall market cap ranking of the BSE listed companies at 10:23 AM, the exchange data shows. ITC slipped to 13th position with a market cap of Rs 3.77 trillion.

🔷 Uber lost $245 million on its Zomato investment in the second quarter of 2022, and $707 million in the first half of the year, the company said as it announced its results for Q2.

🔷 According to reports, Uber may offload its stake in Zomato on August 3.

🔷 Uber’s losses for the quarter came in at $2.6 billion and said $1.7 billion was from investments and a reevaluation of stakes in Zomato, Aurora, and Grab.

🔷 The company said that this was part of its unrealized gain on investments. Uber said its equity stake in Zomato as of June 30, 2022, was $0.4 billion.

💚WhatsApp has banned over 22 lakh Indian accounts in June on the basis of complaints received via its grievance redresal channel and through its own mechanism to detect violations, according to the messaging platform.
💚 This is higher than 19 lakh such accounts banned by WhatsApp in May, 16 lakh accounts in April, and 18.05 lakh such accounts in March.
💚 The new, tougher IT rules, which came into effect last year, mandate large digital platforms (with over 50 lakh users) to publish compliance reports every month, mentioning the details of complaints received and action taken.

🔷 According to a recent report released by Hyderabad-based enterprise digital marketing agency Pyrite Technologies, Sadhguru and Isha Foundation are India’s largest advertisers on Meta platforms. They spent a total of ₹99 lakhs on Facebook and Instagram.
🔷 Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is an Indian yoga guru and a self-proclaimed mystic. He has more than 8.5 million followers on Instagram, 5.2 million fans on Facebook, and 3.9 million followers on Twitter.

❤️ Zomato Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has announced a new structure for the company that will see its businesses like Zomato, Blinkit and Hyperpure run by different CEOs under one umbrella organisation called 'Eternal'.

❤️ In a note sent to employees on an internal communication channel, Goyal said that they are now at a stage of life where "we are maturing from running (more or less) a single business, to now running multiple large companies".

❤️"Now that the Zomato-Blinkit deal is approved, we have three companies -- Zomato, Blinkit and Hyperpure -- in the order of business size/impact," Goyal said in the note seen by IANS

🔷 The auction of the 5G spectrum capable of offering ultra-high-speed internet received bids worth Rs 1,50,130 crore until Sunday amid a pick-up in demand for radiowaves in the UP East circle, pushing the bidding to the seventh day on Monday.
🔷 Seven new rounds of bidding held on the sixth day of auction on Sunday 'dialled in' an incremental Rs 163 crore, propelling the cumulative spectrum sale beyond the Rs 1.50 lakh crore mark.

❤️ Homegrown fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brand Parle has managed to remain the most chosen brand for the tenth year in a row among the segment in India in 2021, revealed the latest Kantar India’s annual Brand Footprint report.

❤️According to the data and rankings from Kantar India’s annual Brand Footprint 2022 report, the top ten most chosen FMCG brands in 2021 are Parle, Amul, Britannia, Clinic Plus, Tata, Ghadi, Nandini, Colgate, Aavin and Lifebuoy.

❤️ The report has ranked these brands based on Consumer Reach Points (CRPs), which is measured based on the actual purchase made by consumers and the frequency at which these purchases are made in a calendar year.

🔷 Elon Musk is developing plans for a new private airport. While the timetable and exact location are unknown, the conceptual plans have been confirmed by sources who say the airport would be east of Austin, near Bastrop.

🔷 Building a new airport requires federal EPA approval for environmental impacts and FAA approval for air traffic impacts. Local regulations may apply, too. The path to completion could be a long one, especially given Musk's ongoing feud with President Joe Biden.
