Byju's is considering shutting down WhiteHat Jr, the coding platform it acquired two years ago for $300 million, in order to cut costs

The company has held conversations about this in recent weeks, but is now leaning towards continuing the business with a focus on organic growth

WhiteHat Jr has drawn criticism for its misleading claims, quality of teaching and aggressive tactics, and its founder Karan Bajaj left Byju's a year after the acquisition

Byju's has addressed many of the criticisms leveled at it, including no longer visiting student's homes to pitch to their parents.

Zeekr, the luxury electric vehicle brand of China's largest private carmaker Geely, has announced that investors have committed to investing $750 million in its Series A funding round, raising its post-money valuation to $13 billion

This news comes two months after the firm confidentially filed for an initial public offering in the U.S

The investors include Mobileye's founder and CEO Amnon Shashua, Chinese battery giant CATL, Chinese state-owned Yuexiu Industrial Fund, Tongshang Fund and Xin'an Intelligent Manufacturing Fund

Proceeds from the raise will support Zeekr's technology research and global expansion, which includes 3,000 open positions in over 30 cities worldwide

Founded in March 2021, Zeekr has previously raised $500 million from strategic investors.

Indian social media app Slick has exposed the personal information of approximately 1.5 lakh users, including minors, through a security breach. 💥

The exposed data included names, mobile numbers, dates of birth, and profile pictures of Slick users. 📈

The database was left online without a password, according to security researcher Anurag Sen. 🔒

Slick was launched in November and allows school and college students to talk with and about their friends anonymously. 💬

The security breach could potentially put the minors' personal information at risk. 💣

The company has yet to issue a statement or take any action to secure the exposed data. 🔕

Twitter engineer accidentally deleted files, caused global outage: Report

Twitter recently suffered a worldwide outage during which some users were shown an error message saying,

"You are over the daily limit for sending tweets." According to Platformer, an engineer had accidentally deleted files for an internal service that controls how many tweets users can send out.

Further, it said the team that would've fixed it left Twitter last year.
